Dear Parents and students,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you the Langton Lane Swimming Club will no longer be able to operate. An email was sent out this afternoon explaining that the condition of the pool has deteriorated and unfortunately the pool now requires extensive capital expenditure to be able to operate safely again. 😢

On behalf of all the swimming teachers I would like to thank you for your patience throughout this uncertain time, for your loyalty and commitment to our swimming club and for being part of our Langton community. 🥰

We would also like to say a massive thank you to all our wonderful students who have worked so hard over the years, you brought a lot of smiles to our faces and we have missed you all so very much! 💙

We hope you all continue your swimming journeys as you made us all very proud teachers! 😁

WHO MISSES SWIMMING LESSONS?

Hello parents,

We hope you are all well and safe during this uncertain time! We are hoping to open in the next couple of months!

We apologise for the delay in contacting you all and giving you an update! As soon as we have any news of re-opening, we will be in touch with you! Thank you for your support and patience!

We are looking forward to seeing all your familiar faces again and we are excited to see some new faces joining us soon!

Dear Parents,

Further to our email of last week on Covid-19, Swim England have issued the following statement regarding clubs (extract):

“Swim England statement regarding coronavirus outbreak
17 March 2020
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Monday 16 March a range of measures to help combat the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Having further reviewed the guidance, it is Swim England’s interpretation that club activity falls into the ‘public gathering’ category and therefore it is strongly advising clubs to consider cancelling or postponing activity – including events – until the end of May.
Swim schools should also make an informed decision on future lessons based on the current information from the Government.”

Given this advice and the advice from the Government following social distancing we have made the decision today, 18th March, to close the pool and freeze all lessons until further notice.
We will credit all lessons from the 18th March to the end of term 4th April on the next available invoice.
