Oh, what a revolutionary idea! Taxing the wealthy? Truly groundbreaking stuff here, folks! 🙄

I think she needs inviting to Plaid Cymru conference so she can see how politics is done properly.

I mean, it's not like plaid cymru has been shouting this from the rooftops for ages or anything. But hey, better late than never, right?

Kudos to the First Minister for rediscovering what should have been obvious all along. Let’s just hope they keep listening to the concerns of the people when it’s time to put the ideas into action—not just when it's convenient! 💸✨

🚨😡 Plaid Cymru Anabledd is utterly appalled for the vote in favor of the government’s cuts to disability benefits bill moving to the next stage in Parliament. This decision is not just short-sighted; it’s a blatant disregard for the lives of disabled people across the UK.

Many MPs (but sadly not enough) are finally recognising the harsh realities faced by our disabled community, a uk 30% employment gap compared to non-disabled people, disabled people often earning less (around £2 per HR less), these are just 2 examples. These cuts will only exacerbate the inequality and challenges we already face.

Disabled people contribute immensely to society, but continue to face systemic, physical, and social barriers and discrimination. Plaid Anabledd will always advocate for policies that foster inclusion, not isolation. This is not just about benefits; it’s about justice, dignity, and respect for all.

🎉✨ Well, well, well! The UK government is really prioritising what matters most! 🙄 They were set to cut £5 billion from disability benefits, but after a bit of backlash (who knew people cared?), they’ve graciously decided to “only” cut £3.5 billion instead. A real show of compassion, right? 👏💔

Meanwhile, The Treasury is ready to shower a whopping £130 billion over the next five years to the Bank of England for our financial institutions to be nice and comfy. 🏦💰 So, while some are left in the lurch, at least the banks can sit pretty, proving once again that supporting the vulnerable takes a backseat to maintaining the luxurious lifestyles of bankers. 🙃💸 Cheers to priorities!

💥 Plaid Cymru Anabledd WON'T BACK DOWN! 💥

🚨 The fight for the rights of disabled people is more crucial than ever! 🚨even with the concessions, the Welfare cuts will still hit hard, to the tune of a staggering £3.5 BILLION!💔

🔹 430,000 new PIP claimants are set to lose an average of £4,500 each!
🔹 700,000 new Universal Credit claimants face an average loss of £3,000!

Plaid Anabledd says ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! 🙅‍♂️ Each cut is a harmful blow to our communities, and we will NEVER stop fighting against these injustices! 💪

👉Join Plaid Anabledd in standing up for the rights of EVERY DISABLED PERSON facing these devastating cuts! Together, we will make our voices heard and ensure that disabled people's rights are not sacrificed. Let’s keep the pressure on until we achieve CHANGE! ✊💖

ITV Wales Sharp End Media Request:

ITV Wales Sharp End would like to interview anyone who could be impacted by welfare changes - it could be that the changes implemented mean you'd be able to work less, or you might like to share why so many disabled people and people with chronic conditions can feel excluded from mainstream workplaces.

They will be near Cardiff or the valleys on Monday 30th June, but their timings are quite tight so it would need to be early afternoon.

💔 Keir Starmer's “Compassionate” Politics Strikes Again! 💔

Well, well, well! It looks like Keir Starmer has decided to “listen” to his backbenchers and has climbed down from his planned cuts to disability benefits for existing claimants. How generous! 🙄 But wait—he’s still planning to punish FUTURE claimants. How is this even remotely acceptable?

Plaid Cymru Anabledd find it utterly disgraceful that future disabled individuals will bear the brunt of these cuts. Are we really okay with a leader who thinks it’s fine to shift the burden onto those who haven’t even claimed yet?

This isn’t just about numbers; this is about real lives and futures being jeopardized! Disabled people deserve a government that supports and uplifts us, not one that throws us aside as an inconvenience.

Keir Starmer and UK Government this is not good enough! We need real advocacy for ALL disabled individuals—past, present, and future! Time to step up and truly support the community you claim to care about. 🤨✊

Cuts to some disability benefits will only hit future claimants, not those already on it.

Plaid Cymru Anabledd and the National Party would like to gather thoughts on what impact the UK Labour Government's proposed cut's to disability welfare will have on the people of Wales. Plaid Cymru Anabledd would like to emphasise that PIP is NOT an unemployment benefit, rather a payment to allow disabled people to pay for the mountain of additional costs that being disabled has on their daily living. Although the UK Government and Keir Starmer focus continues to be that these cuts will get disabled people into employment, this is not the premise of this welfare benefit

07/06/2025

We at Plaid Cymru Anabledd say that the proposed cuts to the welfare budget will have devasting, lasting consequences for disabled people, jeopardising their access to essential support services and equipment, and undermining their independence and dignity.
The planned cuts will further marginalise a minority group that already faces significant daily barriers. The decision by the UK government to make these cuts is deeply troubling, and reflects a failure to prioritize the well-being, dignity, and independence of disabled individuals in the welfare system.
