This October, Sam is taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for Believe Organ Donor Support, a charity that supports donor families, transplant recipients and raises awareness of organ donation.

🎉 New Pavilion Completed at Ty’r Winch Playing Field 🎉

Old St Mellons Community Council is delighted to announce that the new pavilion at Ty’r Winch Playing Field is now in place. This marks the completion of a long-standing community project that will provide an excellent new facility for local residents, sports clubs and community groups.

The pavilion has been delivered by Ashdown Construction Group Ltd and funded through Section 106 developer contributions, helping to bring a valuable new community asset to Old St Mellons.

The Community Council would like to thank Ashdown Construction Group Ltd, Project Manager Steve Knapton, everyone involved in delivering the project, and all those who have supported it along the way.

Residents are warmly invited to an Open Day on Saturday 20th June at 3:00pm, where everyone will have the opportunity to view the new pavilion and celebrate this exciting addition to Ty’r Winch Playing Field. We look forward to welcoming you. 🎉🏡

🚉 Cardiff Central Parking Update

If you're travelling through Cardiff Central station regularly, it's worth being aware of some upcoming changes.

The Penarth Road car park and Riverside (Fish Jetty) car park will permanently close as part of the wider Cardiff Central Station enhancement and Cardiff Crossrail projects.

Parking will remain available at the Cardiff Central Quay multi-storey car park, although passengers should allow extra time as the walking route to the station will be longer than the current arrangements.

I've attached the map showing the new pedestrian route and parking arrangements for anyone who uses the station regularly.

A significant project for Cardiff's transport network and one worth keeping an eye on over the coming years.
