Aged 12 - 17 years old?

Sea Cadets is now in Carmarthen and we already have a Junior Sea Cadet section, who are aged 9 to 11 years old now OPEN.

We are delighted to bring you the launch of our Sea Cadet section for our 12 to 17 year olds - with our Open Evening on Friday 12th June 2026, 1830 (6:30pm) to 2030 (8:30pm).

If you’re between 12 and 17 years old and looking for something more exciting than just staying indoors, Sea Cadets gives you the chance to try new things, meet new people, and build real confidence.

You’ll get to learn awesome skills like sailing, kayaking, first aid, and even navigation — stuff you won’t usually learn at school. There are also opportunities to go on camps, trips, and adventures across Wales and even the UK.

It’s not just about activities either. Sea Cadets helps you grow as a person. You’ll build teamwork, leadership skills, and resilience, all while having fun and making friends who share your interests. 💪

Worried about experience? Don’t be. You don’t need any — just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new.

We are looking forward to shining a spotlight on our valued on this month! As part of we will share the experiences and achievements of Royal Navy and Royal Marines Reservists who serve on land and sea to protect the nation’s interests. 🌊 🌏

These particular service personnel are unique because they manage their military service in addition to their civilian occupation, whether that is a civilian career, academic studies, care-giving, volunteering and a whole range of other domestic commitments.
