RFCA for Wales

RFCA for Wales The Reserve Forces' & Cadets' Association (RFCA) for Wales supports Reserves and Cadets for all three services across Wales.

RFCA for Wales has a duty to deliver first class support services directly to the Royal Naval Reserve, Royal Marines Reserve, Army Reserve, Royal Auxiliary Air Force and their cadets. RFCA for Wales provides a link to the local community to raise awareness of the rewards of part-time soldiering to Reservists and employers. RFCA for Wales also engage with young people to educate them of the practic

al and academic skills they can gain by joining a Cadet organisation. There are also fulfilling roles for Adult Volunteers who guide the development of the next generation.

CIC - Complete!

Congratulations to Sgt Ashton Marchant on successfully completing his Combined Initial Course (CIC) at RAF Cranwell.

The course develops the essential skills required of a CFAV, with a strong focus on safety, safeguarding, welfare and personnel management, alongside leadership, teamwork, instruction and drill.

With his previous experience as a Cadet Warrant Officer, Sgt Marchant was able to support fellow CFAVs throughout the course, particularly those who were new to RAFAC. He was also on hand to help others with drill, sharing his experience and helping build their confidence.

The course also included CCF Staff, establishing a new CCF RAF Section. So impressed were they with Sgt Marchant’s experience and contribution that they invited him to assist them in establishing their new section, a real compliment to the knowledge and skills he brings.

Well done, Sgt Marchant!

Veterans Breakfast – Bangor Sea Cadets 🍳☕

On 5th September, Bangor Sea Cadets are proud to be hosting a Veterans Breakfast as a chance to come together, share stories and enjoy a good breakfast in great company.

Most importantly, the event will be raising funds for the fantastic Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, helping support the vital work they do across Northern Ireland. 🚁❤️
