Architect
We are looking for an appropriately qualified Architect (Chartered or equivalent) to work in the Architectural Group. You will be AutoCAD and Revit proficient and assist in managing the Architectural Group in preparing design proposals and tender documentation for a wide range of building projects.

We recently completed the refurbishment of Thornhill Crematorium, creating a calming and tranquil environment to celebrate the lives of those we have lost. The works included a full renovation of both the Wenallt & Briwnant Chapels, the waiting rooms and new canopies to the external areas. The chapels and waiting rooms received new lighting, flooring, decoration and furniture, to provide a modern and pleasant environment for the bereaved for years to come.

Rydym ni wedi cwblhau gwaith adnewyddu Amlosgfa Draenen Pen-y-graig yn ddiweddar er mwyn creu ardal addas i ddathlu bywydau y rhai ni wedi colli. Roedd y gwaith yn cynnwys adnewyddiad llawn o’r ystafelloedd aros a Capeli Wenallt a Briwnant, ac adeiladu canopïau newydd i’r ardaloedd tu allan i’r capeli. Mae’r capeli a’r ardaloedd aros wedi cael eu ail-addurniadu ac wedi derbyn golau, lloriau a dodrefn newydd i greu ardaloedd modern a dymunol i’r rhai sydd mewn profedigaeth am y flynyddoedd i ddod.

Ysgol Gynradd Oakfield – Adeilad 4 Ystafell Ddosbarth Newydd
Cafodd PPD eu comisiynu gan yr Awdurdod Addysg Lleol i reoli'r gwaith o ddylunio ac adeiladu adeilad 4 ystafell ddosbarth newydd i letya disgyblion blwyddyn 3 a 4 yn Ysgol Gynradd Oakfield, Llaneirwg, Caerdydd. Cafodd y project ei gyflawni mewn dim ond 21 wythnos a chafodd mewnbwn staff addysgu a disgyblion ei gynnwys yn y broses o gymeradwyo’r dyluniad. Roedd y dull llwybr carlam yn angenrheidiol i ddiwallu terfynau amser y cyllid grant ac mae’r pennaeth, staff addysgu a disgyblion wedi croesawu’r ffaith bod y project wedi cael ei gwblhau mewn modd amserol. Agorodd y cyfleuster newydd hwn yn syth ar ôl hanner tymor Mai eleni.

Oakfield Primary School – New 4-Classroom Building
PDD were commissioned by the Local Education Authority to manage the design and construction of a new 4-classroom building to accommodate year 3 & 4 pupils at Oakfield Primary School, St Mellons, Cardiff. The project was delivered from start to finish in just 21 weeks and included input from teaching staff and pupils in the design approval process. The fast track approach was necessary to meet grant-funding deadlines and the timely completion of the project to a high standard has been welcomed by the head teacher, teaching staff and pupils alike. This new facility opened immediately following the May half term this year.

Pleser i adnewyddu Canolfan Ddydd y Tyllgoed i greu amgylchedd o safon i’r rheiny âg anghenion gofal a chymorth uchel a lefel demensia isel neu salwch meddwl gweithredol. Crëwyd lleoedd diogel sy’n annog atgofion mewn awyrgylch cartrefol yn galluogi’r gwasanaeth gwerthfawr yma i barhau gwneud gwahaniaeth i’r gymuned a’i phobl.

It’s been our pleasure to refurbish Fairwater Day Centre into a high quality environment for those with high care and support needs, low levels of dementia and mental illness. Safe spaces to instigate memories in a home from home environment will enable this worthwhile service to continue in making a difference to the community and its people.

Fei from our Architects department has kindly donated 8 inches of her hair to The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for little girls with cancer. Well done Fei!

Rhoddodd Fei, aelod y tîm Penseiri, yn hael 8 modfedd o'i gwallt i'r elusen The Little Princess Trust, a fydd yn cael ei gwneud i mewn i wig i ferched bach â chancr. Da iawn Fei!

Pleasure to have the Leader of the Council, Cllr Huw Thomas, officially launch our recent project, Grand Avenue Day Centre. Proud to see the work that’s possible in this Dementia Day Centre following major refurbishment.
