During term time, our Dyslexia Learni

ng Centre in Cardiff offers Launchpad for Learning sessions for children between 7 and 11 years of age. The children attend from 9:00am until 3:00pm on either one or two days per week, with the agreement of their schools, receiving specialist tuition that enhances the normal provision they receive. In the summer holidays we run a holiday school, which aims to mix fun with learning and helps children to maintain their progress over the long summer break. We also provide after-school specialist one-to-one tuition for children between 6 and 16 years of age. Our highly-trained specialist teachers, can also offer diagnostic dyslexia assessments. And finally, we participate in a range of other projects aimed at helping young people with dyslexia.

Our vision is… to develop lifelong learning so pupils may reach their own unique learning potential. We recognise that Dyslexia is a challenge to individuals and their families. We are dedicated to traditional values such as attitudes, skills, knowledge, and responsibility but recognise that our pupils may not be traditional learners and may need specific help to improve. Fundamental to our vision… Is the fact that our success is measured by pupil’s individual achievement. We are committed to inclusion and fully support pupil’s reintegration into the mainstream environment when the child has developed the necessary skills to succeed. The recruitment of a highly skilled team; and the promotion of cutting edge resources in delivering our curriculum enables us to deliver a unique experience for all individuals who engage in the Tomorrows Generation learning experience.

☀️ We hope you’re all enjoying the glorious weather! ☀️

It’s time for another TG Team Spotlight, and this month we’re shining the spotlight on the fantastic Kirsty Keane from our Neath Centre!

"I joined TG 8 months ago, after many years of teaching and supporting young people to gain skills, confidence, and qualifications in the childcare sector.

Seeing the impact low literacy levels had on so many young people, and being dyslexic myself, I understood those challenges personally and wanted to do more to help. That passion inspired me to return to university and complete a Masters in ALN, specialising in teaching and diagnosing dyslexia. "

We are thrilled to have Kirsty as part of the TG team, and inspired by the passion and care she brings to her teaching.

Meet Kate, our wonderful Specialist Teacher at our Cardiff Centre.

"I joined TG three years ago after 25 years in mainstream primary classrooms. Becoming a specialist teacher came from wanting to know more about how to help children I taught who were struggling with their reading and writing, coupled with the experience of supporting my own children navigate their studies alongside their dyslexia and dyscalculia. Working as part of the TG team gives me the opportunity to support amazing learners to build their skills, knowledge and confidence, whilst having lots of fun! It’s my dream job!"

We’re proud to have Kate as part of our fantastic team here at TG 💙
