Cerebra's new podcast, “The Calm in the Complicated”, is presented by broadcaster Carrie Grant and Assistant Professor Sam Flynn from the University of Warwick. It brings together expert insight and real-life experience in one thoughtful conversation.

Each episode explores topics ranging from sleep and wellbeing to family dynamics and offers connection, comfort, and practical support for anyone navigating the complexities of childhood brain conditions.

We are sure many of our Cerebral Palsy Cymru families would find this podcast series particularly interesting.

Ei Smart Infant Course – Winter 2026/27

Are you a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or speech and language therapist working with high-risk infants during their first year of life?

This comprehensive course is designed to strengthen your knowledge and clinical skills in the early assessment and intervention for infants at risk of delayed neurodevelopment.

📅 Course starts Monday 5 October 2026 and runs across multiple dates, delivered through a combination of online and in-person learning.

Through expert-led teaching you will develop greater confidence in early identification and intervention, and learn practical, evidence-based approaches that can make a meaningful difference to infants and their families.

🌟 Help us give a warm welcome to children and families at Cerebral Palsy Cymru!🌟

We are looking for friendly, welcoming volunteers to join the reception team at our Children's Centre in Llanishen, Cardiff.

As a reception volunteer, you'll be the first point of contact for the families, children and visitors who come through our doors. Whether you are greeting people with a smile, answering telephone calls or helping with day-to-day enquiries, you will play an important role in supporting the work we do.

No previous reception experience is required, full training and support will be provided.

Volunteering with us is a great way to meet new people, gain valuable office experience and make a real difference to children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy.

We are particularly looking for volunteers who can offer a regular half day or full day each week or fortnight.

A huge thank you and good luck to Jodie Nchokas, who is running the Swansea half marathon on Sunday in aid of Cerebral Palsy Cymru!

Jodie says……

"I'm running my first half marathon raising money for Cerebral Palsy Cymru, their work is very close to my heart. My close friend's baby, Jac, was born very prematurely and has had to fight so many battles. The care, guidance, and encouragement their family has received from Cerebral Palsy Cymru has made a real difference in their journey. Jac's strength and determination will be what gets me past that finish line.

Every mile run and every pound raised helps to continue providing specialist support to children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy.

Jodie, we will be cheering you on every single step of the way! You have got this! 🏅
