Ετήσιο Δείπνο της Προξενικής Ένωσης της Ουαλίας
(𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻)

Το Επίτιμο Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στο Κάρντιφ παρέστη στο Ετήσιο Δείπνο της Προξενικής Ένωσης της Ουαλίας, στο πλαίσιο της ενίσχυσης της συλλογικής παρουσίας των Γενικών και Επίτιμων Προξένων στη διπλωματική και πολιτειακή κοινότητα της Ουαλίας🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

Η εκδήλωση σηματοδότησε την πρώτη επίσημη εκπροσώπηση της Ελλάδας 🇬🇷 στη συγκεκριμένη ετήσια συνάντηση από τον Επίτιμο Πρόξενο, κ. Κωνσταντίνο Γρηγοράτο.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης πραγματοποιήθηκαν συναντήσεις με τον Στρατάρχη του Διπλωματικού Σώματος της Αυτού Μεγαλειότητας του Βασιλέως Καρόλου Γ’, κ. William Alistair Harrison CMG CVO, καθώς και με τους High Sheriffs των περιοχών Mid, South και West Glamorgan, την κα Sharon Iquo Dixon, την κα Janet Davies και την κα Diana Sara Stroia.

Η παρουσία της Ελλάδας εντάσσεται στη συνεχή προσπάθεια ενδυνάμωσης των διμερών δεσμών και της θεσμικής συνεργασίας μεταξύ Ελλάδας 🇬🇷 και Ουαλίας 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, στο πλαίσιο της αποστολής του Επίτιμου Προξενείου, το οποίο λειτουργεί σε συντονισμό με την Ελληνική Πρεσβεία στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο 🇬🇧 και ως μέρος του προξενικού της δικτύου.

Θερμές ευχαριστίες εκφράζονται προς τον κ. Nigel Payne DL, Πρόεδρο της Προξενικής Ένωσης της Ουαλίας, και τον κ. Theo Coliandris, Αντιπρόεδρο, για την άρτια διοργάνωση της εκδήλωσης.

Annual Dinner of the Consular Association of Wales

The Honorary Consulate of Greece in Cardiff attended the Annual Dinner of the Consular Association of Wales, as part of efforts to strengthen the collective presence of General and Honorary Consuls within the diplomatic and civic community of Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

The event marked the first official representation of Greece at this annual gathering by the Honorary Consul, Mr Konstantinos Grigoratos.

During the evening, meetings took place with His Majesty’s Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, Mr William Alistair Harrison CMG CVO, as well as the High Sheriffs of Mid, South and West Glamorgan, Ms Sharon Iquo Dixon, Mrs Janet Davies and Mrs Diana Sara Stroia.

Greece’s presence forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral ties and institutional cooperation between Greece 🇬🇷 and Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, within the framework of the Honorary Consulate’s mission, which operates in coordination with the Embassy of Greece in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 as part of its consular network.

Sincere thanks are extended to Mr Nigel Payne DL, President of the Consular Association of Wales, and Mr Theo Coliandris, Vice President, for the excellent organisation of the event.

🚨✈️ Υπενθύμιση: Αλλαγή στους κανονισμούς εισόδου στο ΗΒ

Από αύριο, 25 Φεβρουαρίου 2026, Έλληνες πολίτες που κατέχουν και βρετανική ιθαγένεια πρέπει να χρησιμοποιούν το βρετανικό τους διαβατήριο για να ταξιδέψουν στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο (ή να διαθέτουν 🇬🇧 Πιστοποιητικό Δικαιώματος Διαμονής / Certificate of Entitlement στο άλλο τους διαβατήριο).

Χωρίς ένα από τα παραπάνω, ενδέχεται να αντιμετωπίσουν καθυστερήσεις ή άρνηση επιβίβασης.

Η προϋπόθεση αυτή ισχύει για όλους τους Βρετανούς πολίτες, ανεξαρτήτως άλλης ιθαγένειας που τυχόν κατέχουν.

🚨✈️ Important update for dual British citizens travelling to the UK.

From 25 February 2026, dual British citizens must present either a British passport or Certificate of Entitlement when travelling to the UK.

Without one, carriers cannot verify they are a British citizen, which may lead to delays or denied boarding.

This is required for all British citizens, regardless of other nationalities.
