​Today, our Arson Reduction Team joined forces with local Neighborhood Policing PCSOs for a joint visit to Tumble Park.
​Following recent reports on social media regarding anti-social behavior (ASB) and deliberate fire setting in the area, we wanted to get boots on the ground to see the situation firsthand and reassure residents.

​This visit was a fantastic example of joint working and information sharing. By collaborating closely, we can better understand local issues and target our resources exactly where they are needed most.

​The best part of the day was heading out into the local community and speaking directly with members of the public. Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with us and share their concerns. Your eyes and ears are vital in helping us keep Tumble Park safe for everyone.

​🔥 COMMUNITY SAFETY IN TRIMSARAN 🚒
​Our Arson Reduction Team had a fantastic day out at the Trimsaran Leisure Centre today! We teamed up with our partners PCSO 8102 and PCSO 8008 from Dyfed-Powys Police for a joint community safety event.
​While the neighborhood policing team was busy security marking and registering local bikes, we were on hand to chat with residents and share vital advice on keeping Trimsaran safe from fire.
​With the warmer weather, we spent a lot of time speaking with the community about:
🚫 Deliberate Fire Setting – How deliberate fires put lives, property, and our emergency crews at risk, and how the community can help us stop them.
🌾 Grass Fires – Simple steps to prevent accidental wildfires from starting and spreading in our beautiful rural areas.
​A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to chat, ask questions, and take home safety info. Working together with our partners and the public is how we keep our communities safe! 🤝

🛑 JOINT PATROL & WILDFIRE AWARENESS 🛑
​Following the recent grassfires in the Fishguard area, our Arson Reduction Team have been carrying out joint patrols alongside our colleagues from Dyfed Powys Police Neighbourhood Policing
​As you can see from the images, areas along the beautiful part of our coastal path has been completely destroyed by fire.

​☀️ Hot Weather Safety Advice

​During periods of hot and dry weather, things can change in a flash. High temperatures and dry undergrowth mean that fires can start effortlessly and spread with devastating speed.
​We want to remind everyone to stay extra vigilant and keep these safety tips in mind:
🚬 ​Dispose of ci******es safely: Never throw lit ci******es out of car windows or onto dry ground.
🔥​ No open fires or BBQs: Avoid lighting campfires or using disposable BBQs in grassy or coastal areas.
🚯​ Take your litter home: Glass bottles can act like a magnifying glass in direct sunlight and spark a fire.

As the summer is approaching, please take time to read our barbecue safety signs which have been displayed on Swansea beach today.

❗️Never leave your barbecues unattended or where they could cause a fire to spread.

❗️Extinguish your barbecue after use and allow them to cool.

❗️Remove or dispose of your barbecues properly – do not leave or bury them on the beach - they are a danger to people and animals.

❗️Sand under barbecuess will be very hot. Cool the area before leaving to avoid risk to other beach users.

❗️Smoke can be a nuisance – please consider others.

Please remember to dispose of your barbecues in the barbecue disposal bins which are situated on the beach front.

Always take your rubbish home – keep the area clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy!

​Our Arson Reduction Advisor has been out today at Penyfan Park Llanelli.
​We’ve teamed up with our partners at Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police to conduct joint patrols, specifically targeting areas where Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and deliberate fire-setting have been a concern.
​🔥 Why were we there?
​Deliberate fires don’t just damage our green spaces—they put the public and our firefighters at unnecessary risk. By being on the ground at Penyfan Park, we are:
​Identifying Risks: Spotting potential fuel sources and fire hazards.
​Deterring ASB: Making sure the park remains a safe zone for families, not a "hotspot" for trouble.
​Engaging with the Public: Chatting with locals about how to keep our community spaces fire-free.

​Joint visits allow us to share intelligence and resources instantly. We are committed to regular patrols to ensure that the park is not a target for arson.
