Last week we took part in a wildfire training exercise alongside Our East Haven, Scotland Tayside and Scottish Ambulance Service. Crews from Carnoustie Fire Station and Arbroath Community Fire Station worked alongside our partners to extinguish a fire 500 meters along the beach and rescue a member of the public with a lower leg fracture. We used Our East Haven all terrain vehicle to move equipment and to extract the casualty. Exercises like this are vital to build partnership understanding/learning but also a great opportunity for team and personal development. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service

A live multi-agency exercise was staged on the dunes at East Haven to highlight the threat of wildfires and the specific challenges they present to the coastal hamlet.

Last week we visited P2 at Carlogie Primary to speak about the role a fire fighter and the importance of staying safe and being thoughtful and helpful to everyone within our community. We discussed the many ways Carnoustie FS supports our community. We love visiting groups/schools in our town so please get in touch if you would like a visit. Email [email protected],

FF Adele Morrison has left the building. After 10 years service Adele has decided to step away from the pager 📟 . During this time Adele showed exemplary commitment to the role being the top attendee of incidents and community engagements. She will be missed by all at the station and we wish her all
the best .

Looking for something FREE and fun to do during the school holidays? Pop down tomorrow and Tuesday between 10-12, to meet your local crew, look around the fire engine, get a shot of the hose and receive some fire safety advice. This event is open to everyone so pop down and say hello. There will be free breakfast available for everyone. 🚒👩‍🚒🥣
