Good Evening

Fishtank is permanently closed. We'll keep this page open for a few months at which point it will be deleted.

We recently advertised that we would be re-opening our co-work space here in Carrickfergus. After we posted that advert we were approached by a local charity who needed additional accessible office space and our ground floor completely ticked all their boxes.

They have signed a long term lease on our available space so we will no longer be re-opening our co-work space.

We apologise to those who reached out to us after we posted the advert.

BWF Hosting are still in the unit and will be operating from the upstairs space from 1 June 2022.

Fishtank Coworking Permanenly Closed

We are wanting to let you know that due to the expansion of Kobault Web Design (due to enhanced opportunities caused by the pandemic) and the need for enhanced social distancing in BWF Hosting as our support team come back to the office in the coming months we have taken the decision to permanently close our Co Work Space.

This of course will always be kept under review but as it stands we do not have room for our Kobault, BWF and Co Work Staff whilst adhering to social distancing as we are required to do so.

Thanks for understanding. It was good while it was here but the pandemic has changed everything.

Update: July 2020

In order to ensure we have space for enhanced social distancing for staff from BigWetFish Web Hosting and Kobault we will not be considering opening up our Co-Working Space for the foreseeable future.

We apologise we needed to do this but it was important all staff working for our two companies have sufficient space to work in a Socially Distanced environment. It would have been impossible to have a COVID Secure workspace if we did not have access to the ground floor.

We've taken the decision to close our Co Working Space for the foreseeable future. This is to allow our parent company to use the space for their Web Hosting Support Team as we return to work with enhanced social distancing. It allows 7 staff per floor (as opposed to 14 staff on the first floor) as they aim to return to work in varying degrees over the coming weeks and months.

The situation will not change until social distancing is relaxed likely well into the future but if anything does change we will update this page.

Thanks to everyone for your support while we were open and we're truly sorry we have had to close. We hope you understand why this has to happen.

It’s with great sadness that we must let you know that we will be closing our co work space for the foreseeable future.

Our Parent Company BWF Hosting have a growing support team and in order to prepare for an eventual return to work in the office they need to split the BWF Support Staff over the two floors in order to ensure maximum social distancing. This will leave no room for our co-working space tenants.

We’ve emailed all our existing tenants to let them know this decision and we thank you all for understanding the need to create more space for the support team to work at a social distance when they all eventually return to the office.

Following the Prime Minister's address we are sadly closing our Co-Working Space for the 3 week lock down and may extend this if the government advise us to do so.

We will be emailing all residents and will arrange a time with them to let them in to collect their belongings as soon as possible.

Any residents who have per paid rental will be offered a credit or a refund.

Coronavirus Update

Following the updated advice from the government this evening we will no longer be accepting any new residents into our Co Working Space. We will be encouraging existing residents to work from home if they can as per the Government Advice.

Any resident who wishes to continue to work from the office may do so but there will be restrictions and these will be outlined in a letter currently being prepared.

Restrictions include:

- Visitors no longer permitted into the space
- Desks moved to be 3 meters apart
- One person in Kitchen at a time
- Strict Hand Washing Policy
- Strict desk hygiene including emptying bins daily

Any resident who wishes to pause their membership may do so and we will ensure they get first choice of their old desk back once we re-open the space to new members.
