On the 13th June 2026 We are embarking on a 45 mile walk along the ridgeway path. We are doing this challenge to raise funds for the firefighters charity. This will take us from one end of the county to the other. We are excited to complete the Oxfordshire leg of one of the oldest paths in Britain.

This weeks drill night we had the pleasure of joining our friends at Burford Fire Station at the Burford Guildenford Car Park for a practice of Water relay.

Water relay is used to transport water to a fire accross long distances using our vehicle mounted pumps and Lightweight Portable pumps (LPP) at intervals to keep up the water pressure. As you can see in the pictures and video we also used lots of hoses which were later doubled up or "Twinned"

It was great to have a catch up with one our closest stations!

We also had the privaledge to have our Deputy Chief Fire Officer join us to take part as a Firefighter and get hands on running and making up hoses!
