We can’t wait to welcome you to Castle Ashby Gardens this summer.

And while regular sunny visits are wonderful, we know the costs can add up over the season.

That’s why we offer Frequent Visitor Pass bundles: buy 10 garden tickets but only pay for 6, or get 5 garden tickets and only pay for 3.
That’s a 40% saving on your summer strolls!

The weekend is finally in sight - just one more day to go. 💚

Even our menagerie pigs are feeling the heat today. ☀️

We caught them making the most of the heatwave by relaxing in the shade of their sty and enjoying a lovely, refreshing mud bath.

But did you know, pigs can’t sweat to cool down like we do? So wallowing in mud is their clever way of lowering their body temperature. As the mud evaporates from their skin, it provides a cooling effect, and as a bonus, it acts as an excellent natural sunscreen to protect them from the rays. 🐖🧴

The sunny weather looks set to continue this week. We look forward to welcoming you back on Thursday when we reopen.

Scones with clotted cream, fresh sandwiches, and fruit pots. 🍓

Our new grab-and-go range is now available in the Tearooms. There is no need to book these. Just walk up on the day, pick your favourite box, and find a quiet spot in the grounds to enjoy it.

Planning ahead? You can also still book our pre-order picnic boxes online.

🌳 Make the most of the Bank Holiday sunshine at Castle Ashby Gardens. We’re open all weekend, 10am to 4pm, with plenty of ways to enjoy a warm spring day.
Treat yourself to an iced coffee or ice cream, pick up a takeaway picnic lunchbox, or settle in for afternoon tea. Take a stroll through the Arboretum for a shady escape or stop by to see the meerkats soaking up the sunshine. Plan your visit and enjoy a relaxed day out in the gardens. 💚

Did you know our Orangery is one of the most photographed corners of Castle Ashby Gardens?

With its glass dome, lily filled pond and over 100 fish, spend a while enjoying the way the sun filters through the glass or seeing the gardens from a different perspective.
Just a short stroll away, the Fuchsia House is a burst of colour from May to September while the Birmingham Houses are home to our Capability Brown archives and plant collections.

Meet Tommy, our resident Falabella miniature horse. 🐴✨

If you’ve visited Castle Ashby Gardens, you might have spotted this handsome chap in the Walled Garden or Menagerie. While he may be small, at under a metre tall, Tommy has a big personality and loves saying hello to our visitors.

Meet the meerkats at Castle Ashby Gardens 🐾

From early‑morning sunbathing to all‑important lookout duty, our meerkats are always busy – warming their tummies, digging tunnels and keeping an eye (and ear) on everything happening in the Menagerie.

You’ll spot them living in tight‑knit family groups, raising pups together and taking turns to stand guard while the others dig and play.

Plan a visit to see them up close in our Menagerie, then wander the gardens, orangery and arboretum while you’re here.

We’re open Thursday to Monday from 10am–4pm, with last admission at 3pm.

Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply catching up with a friend, our Tearooms provide a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy a delicious selection of freshly baked scones, cakes, and sandwiches.

Even better, every afternoon tea booking gives you the option to add garden tickets at half price. It is a wonderful way to make an afternoon of it… enjoy your tea, and then take a quiet walk through our 35-acre estate and menagerie.
