Wow what a day! Firstly, thanks to all the 615 staff who gave up their Bank Holiday to come and help with our “GS wash up day”. We managed to complete 3 Gliding Scholarship solos. Congratulations to the following on their first solos.

Congratulations to Flt Sgt Nick Land 1015 (Horsham) Sqn on achieving his 1st Solo.

Some great staff achievements as well, congratulations to our MTO Sgt Simon Groves on the award of his Grade 2 and our Adj Flt Lt Chris Goddard on the award of his Grade 1.

Huge Congratulations to our DCFI Flying Officer Rob Wiltshire on the award of his A1 Gliding Instructors Category. This is the result of many hours of dedication and hard work. The award also brings with it some “firsts”

✅ first ever A1 Instructor at 615 VGS
✅ first VGS A1 awarded since the engineering pause

We are all very proud of Rob’s achievement.
