Leadership is tested when it matters most.

Congratulations to Captain Stubbs of our Newcastle based 103 Squadron, awarded a Kent Police Chief Constable’s Commendation for his outstanding professionalism following the attack on Lieutenant Colonel Teeton outside Brompton Barracks in July 2024.

Serving as Regimental Sergeant Major at the time, he maintained the unit’s operational focus while supporting the welfare of everyone affected and helping the investigation secure justice.

His actions reflect the qualities developed throughout the Army Reserve: calm under pressure, care for others and the courage to step forward.

Joining 71 Engineer Regiment is about more than gaining military and engineering skills. It is about becoming someone others can rely on when it matters.

🏥 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲. 🩺

LCpl Reed is also: A soldier, a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer, a Reservist Combat Engineer, a Basic Boat Operator, and an Advanced All Arms Physical Training Instructor (AAPTI). 🪖🏃‍♀️

During her service, she has also gained mountain biking and skiing qualifications, and completed Adventurous Leadership and Resilience Training (ALeRT). 🚴‍♂️⛷️💪

LCpl Reed has deployed on operations overseas and has been pivotal to UK-based activities as a Safety Risk Management Practitioner. 🎖️

With over 10 years of Reserve service behind her, she has consistently brought passion, enthusiasm, dedication, professionalism, and excellence to her part-time role.💂‍♀️

Reserve soldiers in Paisley celebrate their history.

This weekend, 102 Squadron in hosted its annual Anzio Dinner - a celebration of the Squadron’s proud history, spanning over 100 years, by past and present members.

It was a great opportunity to bring the Squadron family together, reflect on those who went before us, and recognise the people who continue to carry that legacy forward today.

Thank you to everyone who helped organise the evening and to all who attended. A great time had by all.
