Medway Public Rights of Way Medway has 190 miles (313km) of Public Rights of Way to enjoy, including sections of the North Downs long distance path and the Saxon Shore Way.

🌿 Volunteer Work on GB34 🌿

A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers for their hard work on GB34 last week.

The team carried out a range of improvements, including: ✅ Clearing vegetation from the steps leading down from Mierscourt Road
✅ Repairing a broken section of fencing approximately halfway along the route
✅ Removing overhanging foliage to improve access
✅ Clearing path entrances along the route as far as Deanwood Drive, Parkwood

A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers who got up nice and early this morning to try and avoid the extreme heat! 🌞🌿

The team cleared Public Right of Way RS362 from the High Street, over the railway and across the A228, heading up towards Upper Halling.

Volunteers also refreshed the waymarking tape, installed new waymarkers, and repainted the waymarker posts to help walkers follow the route more easily.

The volunteers were back on GB12 last week. They began by supporting the damaged fence posts using reclaimed timber from Riverside Country Park, before clearing the route.

They also cleared GB13 as far as the stile where GB12A branches off.

The team intends to return soon to continue clearing GB13 down to Westmore Farm.

GB16 - Mierscourt Road, Rainham

Today, our volunteers visited Siloam Farm and carried out repairs to both stiles on the route. One stile was strengthened with additional timber, while the other was largely dismantled and rebuilt using new timber.
