World Mental Health Day & World Homelessness Day 🌍

Homelessness and mental health are closely linked. Experiencing homelessness can have a significant impact on someone’s mental wellbeing, while mental health difficulties can also contribute to someone experiencing homelessness.

That’s why support, understanding and a sense of community matter so much.

Through our supported accommodation, our support workers and activities at The Hive, we aim to help people feel supported, build connections and take steps towards a more positive future.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic abuse and homelessness can be closely connected.

35,400 households in England were homeless or threatened with homelessness because of domestic abuse in 2024–25.

People who have experienced homelessness were also more than three times as likely to have experienced domestic abuse in the previous year than those who had never experienced homelessness.

At AMAT, we know how important safe accommodation, support and positive connections can be.

Our Women’s Project now provides women-only activities twice a week, creating space to build confidence, make connections and enjoy new experiences.

And at The Hive, our support workers are available for everyone to access, offering someone to talk and offer support when it’s needed.

It’s National Vegetarian Week!

We enjoyed some tasty meat-free meals in the café, including sweet chilli halloumi wraps and cheese and broccoli pasta with a side salad. 🌯🥦🥗

What a great month it has been for our new Women’s Project!

We have had plenty going & it's been lovely to see everyone getting involved, trying out something new and spending time together.

Today we hosted a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning and so far we have raised nearly £100 ❤️👏

Yesterday was katsu curry day in the café! 🍛

It was great to see everyone enjoying some good food together.

Moments like these are about more than just a meal, they’re a chance to catch up, have a chat and enjoy being part of the community.

And judging by the empty plates, the katsu curry went down pretty well! 😋❤️

Our latest refurbishment is now looking fresh, welcoming and ready to become someone’s new home. 🏠

From decorating and repairs to those finishing touches that make a house feel like home, we’re always working to improve our properties and create safe, comfortable spaces for the people we support.

It’s great to see another property transformed and ready. 💙
