After 2 years of running play sessions, Mama's Playdate will permanently close.
Here's why.
I started this job after the birth of my daughter.
I've never worked in the Early years before, having studied Art and being an artist all my life.
But my passion for playtime, eco friendly toys and creativity kicked in so I took a lot of risks and gave it a go.
I quickly realised how much these sessions meant to a lot of you so that gave me the strength and motivation to carry on and make this my full time job.
Fast forward to now, after working as never before in my life, all I am left with at the end of the month is some pocket money.
And that's because when you do this job, 50% of your profit goes to the village halls you rent.
I am sorry this will sound disappointing but I need to go back to my Art and to be in a position to actually be financially rewarded after working so hard.
Thank you so much all for coming, I mean it.
This job gave my soul a huge fulfilment, which I will never forget.
Please use non plastic toys for your little ones and take the time to play with themโฅ๏ธ
