Got a bike that needs a little TLC? Bring it along to our Bike Repair Café and get help with basic repairs, maintenance advice, and safety checks from experienced volunteers.

Whether it's a puncture, brake adjustment, chain issue, or just a general check-over, we're here to help keep you cycling safely.

Cheadle United Charities – Community Award at Christmas 2026

Cheadle Town Council invite persons residing in the Parish of Cheadle and Oakamoor having a low income to make an application to be considered for a benefit under the Cheadle United Charities Community Award at Christmas.

Application forms can be requested via email on [email protected] or from the Council Offices located at, The Lodge, 21 Tean Road, Cheadle ST10 1LG.

Applications must be returned fully completed no later than Friday 13th November 2026 to, Cheadle Town Council, The Lodge, 21 Tean Road, Cheadle ST10 1LG. Applications received after this date will not be considered.

Cheadle Cemetery

Cheadle Town Council are aware that the wall has been damaged at the cemetery car park. The area will be cordened off and the car park will remain open, but please take extra care.

Please bear with us while we look into arranging repairs.

Invitation to Tender

Recreation Grounds and Facilities Management Contract

Cheadle Town Council invites suitably experienced contractors to submit tenders for the provision of recreation ground, facilities management and cleaning services.

Contract Services Required

The successful contractor will be required to undertake the following services:

Recreation Grounds

• Opening and closing of gates at Tean Road Recreation Ground and Churchill Road at times specified by the Town Council.
• Opening and closing of public toilet facilities at Tean Road Recreation Ground.
• Daily cleaning of toilet facilities, including one deep clean per week.
• Weekend litter picking (Saturday and Sunday) at Tean Road Recreation Ground and Churchill Road Recreation Ground.
• Collection and safe removal of hazardous materials and objects from both recreation grounds.
• Weekly site inspections and reporting of any damage, defects or vandalism to the Town Clerk.
• Undertaking immediate minor repairs where possible to mitigate risks and maintain site safety.
• Cleaning of Council offices at The Lodge, Tean Road Recreation Ground - once per week.
• Cleaning of the Bowling Pavilion on Tean Road Recreation Ground - once per week.
Additional Works
• Any additional or authorised works instructed by the Town Clerk or Deputy Clerk, which will be invoiced separately.

Tender Submission

Tender submissions should include:
• Details of relevant experience and qualifications.
• Evidence of appropriate public liability insurance or any other legal requirements.
• The proposed annual contract fee.
The Council reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any tender received.
