There are a small amount of rural properties remaining from phase 1 which we will get to ASAP.

Please continue to put your food waste in your brown bin until this service starts on 29 June.

Cheadle Spitfire Day Saturday 6th June

Cheadle Spitfire Day

Saturday, June 6th (12pm-4pm)

This special event will be taking place on the High Street and Market Square, and will be opened by Paul Lucas Cheadle’s Town Crier. With a proclamation written with the help of pupils from Cheadle Primary School.

Then throughout the event, there will be live music and singing from: The Cheadle Community Choir, Cheadle Primary School Choir, Cheadle Community Band, Teankulele (the Tean Ukulele Band) and our headline act, the singer Jo Safina with her wartime tribute.

The centre piece of the event will be the unique hand-built reproduction Spitfire, situated in the Market Square. This will be provided by ‘Simply Spitfire’.

In order to re-create a 1940s atmosphere, many of the town centre shops will be decorating their windows. Everyone attending is also encouraged to dress in period clothing.

Cheadle Town Council hosted the Annual Parish Assembly last night at its Chambers in Leek Road. Following a hugely successful term of office and fundraising for her chosen Charity, the outgoing Mayor, Cllr Mrs Kate Mills, presented a cheque for £3,500 to representatives of the Cheadle & District Animal
Welfare. Furthermore, Cllr Mills presented Certificates of Achievement to a number of well-deserving recipients who have helped and supported her Mayoral year. Well done to all for their contributions 👏👏

Cheadle Town Council Notice

The toddler play area at Tean Road Recreation Ground is now open following a recent inspection.

Cheadle Town Council are continuing to progress plans for the delivery of new play equipment within the area to further enhance the facilities for local families.
