Our last week before half term. Where has that first half term gone? We are doing all things Halloween and pumpkins this week. Our stories of the week are Stickman The Pumpkin Hunt and Morris the Mouse and the Pumpkin House which has been written by one of our parents. We have been making pumpkins with different beans and lentil and witches with orange playdough.

Wow how the weather has started changing. This week in pre-school our colour is red and all things Autumn. Imagine sitting in our cosy home corner next to the fire with a hot chocolate.
The children have been really busy using their imagination with loose parts play and leaf rubbing.

🚀✨ We’ve had an out-of-this-world week at pre-school! ✨🚀

This week we have been exploring all things Space, and the children have had so much fun learning, creating and using their imaginations! 🌎🪐🌟

We’ve been learning about the planets and enjoyed ordering them from the smallest to the largest. We also got creative making our very own moon pictures using foil and paint, creating some fantastic moon-like textures. 🌙🎨

Our playdough was transformed into a whole galaxy! 🌌 We added glitter to our black playdough to create planets and twinkling stars, and used conkers to make our very own moon craters. ⭐🪐

We’ve also loved sharing the wonderful story The Smeds and the Smoos. 👽📚 Of course, we couldn’t have a Space Week without our very own alien… so we introduced Dave the Alien! 👽💫

There have been lots of exciting adventures, creative experiences and opportunities to learn along the way. We’ve had a truly stellar week! 🌟🚀
