Come and join our Community Fun Run on Sunday 6 September.

There is the choice of three distances for all abilities, 2K, 5K or 10K.

The runs start 9.30am and check opens at 9am at New Hall School. Chelmsford Lions Club will be holding a charity collection on the day.

We will also have to entertain runners and spectators.

A big thank you to our volunteer stewards who helped to make the outdoor cinema a successful event! We always welcome residents i the community who might like to assist at future events. Why not sign up to the Council's volunteer bank? You won't be committing up front but it just means that you will be notified of future volunteering opportunities and you can decide if it is of interest and whether you would like to volunteer - find out more using the link in the comments.

There seems to be a little confusion on the location for the outdoor cinema event this coming Monday 24th August - the location is Channels Green next to Channels Bar and Brasserie (What 3 Words slip.sock.event) and NOT Channels park! We ask anyone who is coming along by car to park in the car park within Channels (enter at What 3 Words future.riding.rigid) Looking forward to greeting everyone on Monday - gates open for the children's film Angry Birds at 2pm and for the family film Jurassic Park at 6pm.

Our outdoor cinema on Monday is getting closer!
The latest weather reports are predicting slight cloud, temperatures of 21 degrees and a 10% chance of rain in the evening.
Don’t forget to bring a picnic blanket, sun protection (just in case the predicted clouds disappear) and anything else you may need. If you are bringing a chair – you’ll need to sit at the back, so you don’t block the view of people on picnic blanket, thanks.
Both screenings have sold out and there is a waiting list. Please let us know if you can no longer attend by emailing [email protected] no later than midday on Saturday 22nd August and we can give other people the opportunity to see the film(s).

Chelmsford Garden Community Council is pleased to let you know that Chelmsford Lions club will be at the Community Fun Run on Sunday 6th September 2026. As well as highlighting their charitable work they will be taking a collection for charities and one of the highlighted charities is the St Andrew's Burns and Plastics appeal - more details below. In the comments you can find the link to register to take part in the run and you will have a choice of 3 distances so come along to keep fit and support local charities!

Chelmsford Garden Community Council has been pleased to engage with local County and City Councillors to discuss the needs of our residents in relation to bus services and in particular a potential improved link to Beaulieu Park Railway station. The Council is grateful to Chelmsford City Councillor Seena Shah for compiling a survey to help evidence local need with a view to finding potential solutions so please make your views known by completing the survey that you can find at the link below.

Chelmsford Garden Community Council is pleased to announce that representatives of the Chelmsford Lions Club will be attending the Fun Run on Sunday 6th September. Although the Fun Run is free to enter we encourage you to make a donation to them to assist the club with their charitable activities and support for communities.
