As many of you will already be aware, our premises were affected by the devastating fire and explosion at Highlands Farm yesterday.
First and foremost, every member of the PFA family is safe and accounted for, and for that we’re incredibly grateful.
We’re still unable to fully assess the extent of the damage to our premises, vehicles and equipment, but we’re working around the clock to put plans in place and keep disruption to an absolute minimum.
Over the last 24 hours, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received. To everyone who has messaged, called, checked in on us, offered help, equipment, vehicles, premises or simply taken the time to ask if we’re okay… thank you.
The kindness, generosity and genuine care we’ve experienced has meant more to us than we can put into words. It has reminded us just how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such an incredible community, and we honestly can’t thank you enough.
We’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Essex Fire & Rescue, Essex Police, East of England Ambulance Service and all of the emergency services who worked tirelessly throughout such a challenging incident. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did to keep people safe.
The road ahead won’t be without its challenges, but PFA has always been about people, not just buildings or vehicles. With the support we’ve already seen, we’re confident we’ll rebuild and come back even stronger.
From everyone at PFA, thank you. Your support has meant the world to us. 🚑💙
