A full body colour coded CO2 extinguisher from the 80s and nearly as old as me!

Fun Fact 🤓
The introduction is BS EN3 in 1997 mandated that all fire extinguishers be red bodied to enhance visiability in low light or smoky conditions.
Before this standardisation, each extinguisher type had its own full body colour (Blue for Powder, Cream for Foam, Red for Water Black for CO2).
The former full body colour is still referenced in modern standards and can be seen in the colour band at the top of extinguishers.
