🚨 RED WEATHER WARNING - PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE LIDO WITHOUT A PRE-BOOKING OR SEASON TICKET🚨

With temperatures forecast to reach close to 40°C this week and a Red Weather Warning in place, we have made the difficult decision to strongly discourage visitors from attending the Lido unless they have a pre-booked session or are a valid Season Ticket Holder.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly. We know many people look forward to visiting during hot weather, but the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff must come first.

Due to exceptionally high demand, all online bookings for this week have now sold out, with weekend sessions also nearing capacity. Our car park is reaching high occupancy before our first swim sessions begin, and queues are forming very early in the day.

If you do not have a booking or Season Ticket during this heatwave period, we strongly advise against travelling to the Lido.

We are prioritising entry for guests with a pre-booked session and valid Season Ticket Holders. Demand is currently exceeding capacity, and our priority is to accommodate those who have secured their place in advance.

While availability can occasionally change throughout the day, we are unable to guarantee entry for anyone arriving without a booking, and many visitors may be disappointed. To avoid unnecessary travel and waiting in extreme temperatures, we recommend only visiting if you already have a confirmed booking.

With very limited shade available at the front of the site, we are concerned about individuals and families potentially waiting for extended periods in extreme temperatures, only to be disappointed if capacity has been reached. We do not want anyone, particularly young children, to spend over an hour queuing in these conditions without certainty of being admitted.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide wait times throughout the day, and if site capacity is reached, access will only become available as visitors leave.

We understand this may be disappointing, and turning people away is never something we want to do. However, in these exceptional weather conditions, we believe this is the safest and most responsible advice we can give.

*DEEP END CLOSED - Saturday 27th. Due to a waterpolo event the deep end will be closed. 3 lanes will be available and the shallow end of the pool. We apologise for any inconvenience caused*

Thank you for your understanding, patience and cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe during this period of extreme heat 💙

☀️ HOT WEATHER & HIGH DEMAND NOTICE ☀️

Due to the amber heat warning and expected high visitor numbers, please read the following information before travelling to the Lido.

🏊 Planning a visit?
We strongly encourage pre-booking online where possible. If online bookings are unavailable, we can only advise attending as a walk-in visitor, subject to availability on arrival.

⏱️ Arrival & Queuing
Please join the correct designated queue when you arrive to help our reception team check guests in as quickly and safely as possible. Pre-booked visitors will receive priority entry.

🚦 Capacity Management
We cannot provide estimated wait times throughout the day. If we reach site capacity, we may operate a one-out, one-in system until space becomes available.

🤝🏻 Respect Our Team
Our staff and lifeguards are working hard to keep everyone safe and ensure visitors have an enjoyable experience. We ask all guests to treat our team and fellow visitors with respect at all times. We do not tolerate anti-social behaviour, and those who continue to behave inappropriately after warnings may be asked to leave the site.

🚗 Car Parking Information
Please remember that parking is now pay on exit. Ensure payment is made before leaving the car park to avoid receiving a parking charge notice. Please only park within designated parking spaces and follow all on-site signage.

💧 Don’t forget to stay hydrated, wear sun protection, and look after yourselves and those around you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you!

At Cheltenham Lido, lifeguard training doesn’t stop when qualifications are achieved 🛟

Our team regularly takes part in training sessions to practise rescue techniques, emergency procedures and lifesaving skills, helping to ensure they’re prepared to respond when it matters most.

As part of National Drowning Prevention Week, we’re highlighting the importance of water safety and the role that ongoing training plays in keeping our community safe.

The best rescue is the one that never has to happen, and that starts with prevention, vigilance and preparation 💙

Following our recent car park changes, we've received a few questions, mainly regarding Season Ticket Holder parking, so we'd like to clarify how parking works for you!

✅ Season Ticket Holders still receive up to 4 hours of free parking during their visit to the Lido.

⏱️ If your stay exceeds 4 hours, any additional parking time must be paid for before leaving the car park.

📸 Your vehicle registration is linked to your Season Ticket account and is recognised automatically via our ANPR system, so there is no need to enter your registration at the payment machine when you arrive.

🚙 Recently changed your vehicle? Please get in touch with our team so we can update your account and ensure the correct registration is linked to your Season Ticket.

🙏🏻 There is a 15 minute grace period from when you enter the car park - we understand during the summer the car park can become busy and take a little extra time when looking for a space, or dropping / picking individuals up.

♿ Please note: All accessible parking bays remain subject to the standard parking charges and must be paid for in line with the car park terms and conditions.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
