🎼This bank holiday Sunday, Chesham favourites Under the Covers will be closing our 2026 season of Music in the Park. We're going out with a bang - this six-piece, female-fronted band will be performing pop-punk and rock anthems from the nineties and noughties that are sure to get you singing along and perhaps even feeling a little nostalgic.🎵

The current forecast suggests showers are possible for Sunday afternoon. Please keep an eye on this post for updates - if necessary, we will move the concert to The Little Theatre (Temperance Hall) so that everyone can remain dry.

We've had a wonderful turn-out so far this season. Please do come and show your support for a local band one final time this summer.

Finally, many thanks to Mayor Parveiz Aslam Mbe for attending our last concert and saying a few words and of course to last week's musicians, Bisham Concert Band. Not only did they delight us with their music, they also kindly assisted with set-up and pack-down.

We are thrilled to confirm that thanks to continued financial support from Heart of Bucks, Cake Coffee & Company - our FREE monthly get together for older adults and those looking for company - will continue for another year at the Stage Door cafe at The Elgiva.

Please help spread the word and bring your friends, family and neighbours.

At our August meeting we had a visit from calibreaudio.org.uk and Age UK Buckinghamshire who advised guests on pension benefits and attendance allowances. On 25th September, please join us to hear singer Auriol Britton.

We are always looking for new ideas, crafts, entertainment and talks for these events. Please contact [email protected] to discuss.

For this week only we shall be hosting at The Town Hall 10-12. We look forward to welcoming you.

🎼Today's Music in the Park performance will be by Bisham Concert Band, starting at 2pm on the performance space in Lowndes Park.🎵

Returning to Chesham after a few years away, BCB is a community band based near Stokenchurch which regularly performs both locally and further afield when it goes on UK tours. The band plays a varied repertoire that is bound to get your toes tapping, including film and stage tunes and instrumental arrangements of pop songs.

The weather's looking lovely - pack a picnic, bring a folding chair, and come and enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the park.

A big 'thank you' to last week's musicians, Watford Band, for their upbeat and enjoyable performance.
