I'm excited to be taking on a new role in Kemi Badenoch's team.

As a Shadow Housing, Communities and Local Government minister, I'll be holding Labour to account as they threaten our green belt and take power away from local people. To protect family neighbourhoods, I'll be demanding the end of unregulated HMOs too.

These are important issues for Broxbourne, and in my new role I'll continue to do everything I can to stand up for our area.

🚨 Major victory for Broxbourne

Following pressure from Broxbourne Council leader Corina Gander, the new authority for our area will now be known as 'East Hertfordshire and Broxbourne' rather than Eastern Hertfordshire.

While we never supported this reorganisation, it is right that the name of the place we are proud to call home will continue into the new unitary authority.

Local Conservatives will never stop fighting to be a strong voice for local people.

The Government has confirmed that our local councils will be abolished and replaced by a new unitary authority.
