Restorative Hub

Restorative Hub We are here to provide that much-needed support.

The Restorative Hub supports individuals and communities affected by crime or conflict, by giving everyone involved a chance to communicate, through a process called restorative justice. Restorative Justice is known to be highly valued by victims as it gives you a voice in the Criminal Justice process and a chance to get the answers or explanation you deserve. The Restorative Hub helps those in Co

unty Durham and Darlington, whether you are a victim of crime, suffer from anti-social behaviour or a long-term neighbour dispute.

People with learning disabilities and/or autism can also contact crisis services using this number.

Please could everyone take a moment to complete a short survey.

The Government is taking rights to Restorative Justice away from victims of crime.

Their new draft victims’ code would mean:
YOTs no longer have to inform victims about Restorative Justice.
Victims of adult offenders are no longer entitled to information about Restorative Justice.

This will lead to reduced referrals to restorative providers, and fewer cases of Restorative Justice.

They are asking for our feedback on this consultation by May 28th. It is so important that they receive as many responses as possible which urge them to include an entitlement to Restorative Justice.

Find and participate in consultations relating to the duties of the Ministry of Justice.
