Birtley Community Pool

🎉🏊‍♂️ We’re 2 Years Open! 🏊‍♀️🎉

Can you believe it’s been two years since Birtley Community Pool was officially opened by His Royal Highness Prince William? 💙

From a community coming together to save our much-loved pool, to reopening our doors, we’ve come such a long way.
Over the past two years, we’ve seen countless children take their first splashes, swimmers build their confidence, families make memories, and our community come together through swimming. 🏊‍♀️🌊

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our community. To our customers, members, volunteers, staff, funders, supporters and everyone who has played a part in keeping Birtley Community Pool thriving, thank you! 🙌💙

This photo takes us back to such a special day in our journey, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Here’s to everything we’ve accomplished so far, and to many more years of swimming, smiles and community spirit! 🎉💙

🚨 Notice - Tomorrow Morning 🚨

Please be aware that the hot water will be turned off tomorrow morning from 5:45am–7:00am due to maintenance.

This will affect showers and taps during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience or disruption this may cause.

🏊‍♀️ The pool will remain open as normal!
Just be prepared for a potentially chilly shower if you’re planning to shower during the maintenance window! 🥶🚿

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out the necessary work. 💙

🏊‍♂️ Birtley swimmer Paul Snaith is preparing to complete the final stage of his Four Lakes Challenge with an 11.5-mile open-water swim at Windermere.

Paul has already taken on Derwentwater, Coniston and Ullswater as part of the almost 30-mile challenge, all to raise vital funds for Birtley Community Pool.

Every donation will help support the community-run pool and keep this much-loved local facility going.
