Hong Kong in Chester (HKIC) will host the "Equality and Diversity Integration Exhibition 2025 & Hong Kong Youth Performance" at Northgate Church. The event is funded by Cheshire West and Chester Council and will feature:

Screening of interview documentaries, sharing the migration stories of individuals from Hong Kong, Nigeria, Iran, and Ukraine.
Informational panels, presenting insights into the current situations of these countries and the reasons behind people leaving their homelands.
Theatre performances by Chester Dramatic Teens, the HKIC drama group, featuring:
Cantonese improvised theatre: "Sailing Without the Sea"
Reader's theatre: "Lost in the City" (Excerpt)

🎭 Improvised Theatre – "Sailing Without the Sea"
In a Year 7 classroom, students discover that their teacher is absent. Their imaginations run wild, leading to an imaginary adventure. However, an unexpected force disrupts their journey, bringing their fantasy to an abrupt end…...

📖 Reader's Theatre – "Lost in the City" (Excerpt)
A historical drama set during World War II, narrating the Japanese invasion of Hong Kong. During this period, there were struggles of individuals from different backgrounds – a gang leader, a secret merchant, a revolutionary youth, a British general, and an Indian soldier. As they all face the brutal invasion of the Japanese army, no one can escape. They must fight to survive and protect their homeland.

「夏日炎炎正好開Party 😂」

今個星期日(23/6)早上11:00起，在Handbridge Summer Festival 可以聽到樂隊演奏、享用美味食物、購買精緻貨品……更重要的是Hong Kong in Chester亦設有一個攤檔，義賣港式小吃、傳統玩意、推廣中文書法，我們極需要各位街坊到場支持，好讓我們來年有足夠經費繼續為香港街坊服務、為地區事務作出貢獻。

「夏日炎炎在Handbridge」，各位街坊，到時見。

時間 : 11am開始😉

「冰皮月餅親子製作坊」

中秋節想食月餅嗎？HKiC將會舉辦「冰皮月餅親子製作坊」，參加嘅家長可以同小朋友一齊製作冰皮奶黃月餅，活動中亦會有小故事及遊戲，讓小朋友了解中秋節的意義。
這次活動我哋特別為「細葉榕人道支援基金」籌款，收取的費用將全數捐出。

日期：9月30日 (星期六)
時間：2pm-4pm
地點：St Mary Handbridge Centre (CH4 7HL)
對象：Yr 1- 6 小朋友及其家長
名額 : 10 個 家庭
費用 : 每個家庭最少 £10 (全部捐贈細葉榕人道支援基金)

每個家庭將會製作4個冰皮奶黃月餅，材料將由本會提供，我們亦會提供工具，同時歡迎各位自備工具。詳情稍後公布。

Our community will be selling homemade Hong Kong street food, bakery, bubble tea, as well as creative embroidery and art items. Limited stock only. Come early to avoid disappointment.

All proceeds from Calligraphy products will support local charity.

HKiC well being series : Reflective Chester

HKiC再同本地組織Retreat House Chester 合作, 6月22號會舉辦午餐交流會，參加嘅街坊可以一齊食餐飯、傾吓偈。
Retreat House Chester 係促進精神健康嘅志願團體，佢哋嘅代表會喺交流會同大家傾吓你對Chester嘅感覺，你最喜歡Chester嘅角落，過程會以英語進行，受過訓練嘅Reflective Chester 導師都會從旁協助，大家又可以趁機提升吓英語會話技巧。傾完偈就可以同街坊一齊食飯。有得食、有水吹，歡迎大家參加。
費用全免。
