Tarvin Parish Council is holding its bi-annual Village Clean-up this Saturday, 28th March. If you would like to volunteer, Tarvin volunteers should come to the Community Centre at 09:30 and for Oscroft, assemble at The Green at the same time.

Over the last few years, the Tarvin turnout has been disappointing so please, if you are able, support this initiative. It just requires an hour or so of your time. All equipment is provided.

‼️ We have received concerns about a male cold caller in the Heath Drive/Broom Crescent area of Tarvin village. The Police have been made aware.
Please take care when answering the door and don’t let anyone that you don’t know, or are not expecting, into your property.

A reminder that 25/01850/OUT (outline planning application for up to 60 residential buildings Land Off Church Street) will be discussed at tomorrow night’s Parish Council Meeting (19:15pm in the Edna Rose Room at Tarvin Community Centre).

We know there will be a lot of interest in this application so do come along to share your views on the proposals with us.

It is also important that you share these directly with Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) who are responsible for deciding whether the application is approved and permission granted. Contrary to comments previously seen on social media, it is not the Parish Council who decide. You have until 19th August 2025 (Tuesday) to share your comments with CWaC. The link to their website which contains the planning application and allows you to submit comment, is below:

At the next Parish Council meeting in August (Monday 18th August at 19:15pm) the council will discuss the following outline planning application for up to 60 residential buildings at Land Off Church Street: 25/01850/OUT

The Parish Council is keen to hear from members of the public regarding their views on the proposal before it decides on the comments to make to Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) who will then decide if the application is to be approved. If you can please come along to have your say. There will be an extended Open Forum to allow all attendees to speak.

We would also encourage residents to share their comments directly with CWaC through the planning section of their website - the link is copied below and included in the comments section. The comments will then formally be reviewed by the CWaC planning department when making their decision. You have until 19th August 2025 to add your comment. Some residents may also have received a letter through the post over the last couple of days regarding this application.

A quick (and hopefully helpful) reminder about our website and where to find documents.

All of the meetings for 2025 are listed on our website. They usually take place on the last Monday of each month, and always start at 7:15pm in the Edna Rose Room of Tarvin Community Centre.

Meeting Agendas are listed on our website and are usually available to view a minimum of 5 days before the Meeting.

Minutes from a meeting are published following the next meeting (where they are approved and signed by the Chair), and then added to our website.

As Minutes aren’t approved until the following meeting, the Council provide informal notes from the meeting which are usually added to our website during the week following the meeting. These aim to provide a swift update on some of the key issues discussed. They are available on our website until the Minutes are approved, and are uploaded onto a dedicated page on our website.

Our Clerk’s email address was changed last year. This was changed on all webpages and printed literature. A reminder that the new email address is: [email protected]
