During Carers Week (8th–14th June), we want to recognise the emotional weight carried by those supporting a loved one who is struggling with thoughts of su***de 🖤

Supporting someone through crisis can feel overwhelming, frightening and isolating at times. Many people are doing everything they can to help whilst quietly carrying their own worry, exhaustion and fear behind the scenes.

You are not alone, we are here for you too!

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery, The Martin Gallier Project is offering funded spaces on our ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training) course for individuals supporting or caring for a loved one who is considering su***de.

ASIST is a two-day su***de intervention course designed to help people feel more confident recognising su***de risk, having open conversations and supporting someone to stay safe for now.

You do not have to navigate this alone 🌼

Thank you to our Experts by Experience, colleagues from and Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, and third sector organisations from across Cheshire and Merseyside, who came together for the first Helix Perinatal Mental Health Lead Provider Collaborative transformation event.

Special thanks to Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP), Family Hubs from Liverpool City Council, and Dad Matters St. Helens, for sharing their insights throughout the day.

Together we are strengthening perinatal mental health services and working with our partners to make Helix a beacon of positive change for families across our region.

🌟 What an incredible achievement! 🌟

One of our amazing nurses, Katie Holmstrom, has completed a 155-mile ultra-marathon across the Sahara Desert to raise money for dementia research.

Over six days in extreme heat, carrying all her own supplies, Katie pushed herself to the limit—and raised around £6,000 for charity 💙

Her inspiration is close to her heart, having seen the impact of dementia on her own family. Katie says she’s “just an ordinary person”—but we think that’s pretty extraordinary ✨
