NOTICE OF CO-OPTION FOR WINGERWORTH PARISH COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that ONE vacancy has arisen in the Office of Parish Councillor for the Wingerworth Ward of Wingerworth Parish Council.
The vacancy is to be filled by co-option at the next meeting of Wingerworth Parish Council. This meeting will be held on Tuesday 10th September at 7pm in Wingerworth Parish Hall.
To qualify to be a Parish Councillor, a candidate must…
- be a British citizen, Commonwealth Citizen or EU Citizen.
- aged over 18 years.
- a registered local government elector.
- not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor.
- for the whole of the last 12 months, lived in or within 3 miles of the Wingerworth Parish OR
- for the whole of the last 12 months , occupied as owner or tenant any land or premises in the Wingerworth Parish OR
- during the last 12 months, had your main or only place of work in the Wingerworth Parish.
Previous experience or knowledge of being a Parish Councillor is not essential, but candidates should have a keen interest in the Wingerworth Parish and a willingness to serve the best interests of the community.
