Hello,

I wanted to reach out again as the Local Policing Inspector for North East Derbyshire and Bolsover. Since my last update, we have successfully implemented the Safer Neighbourhood team uplift across the area that has brought an additional sergeant and additional police constables to the existing team.

There are 17 distinct beat areas across North East Derbyshire and Bolsover, and this uplift has allowed me to create three teams to create a better focus on tackling local issues whilst also being able to work as a collective when required. These are:

โ€ข Dronfield, Killamarsh & Clowne SNT under Sergeant Molloy
โ€ข Bolsover & Shirebrook SNT under Sergeant Whyte
โ€ข Clay Cross SNT under Sergeant Jones

The local priorities for all of the beat areas have just been updated which can all be reviewed at:

๐Ÿ‘‰ North East - https://orlo.uk/gcvlr

If you want to assist with how these are selected in the next cycle, review our work towards these priorities, or just want to give feedback around the area you live or work in, then please look to attend a local Community Catch up event or by completing the Community Voice survey at the below link:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Community Voice โ€“ https://orlo.uk/DQpDD

Your feedback is invaluable and plays a key role in informing and renewing our neighbourhood policing priorities.

As we now enter the summer months, I will ensure your local officers are as visible and accessible as they can be in the community. The team as a whole has completed 750 local engagements in 2026 so far, and I want nothing less than the team being the most accessible and visible safer neighbourhood team in the county.

I hope you all have a great summer, and I look forward to feeding back some of the great proactive work we are completing currently in my next report to you.

Inspector Matthew Brown

Community Update from PCSO Ashton ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Itโ€™s been another busy day out in the community for PCSO Ashton.

Following concerns raised about parking outside the hairdressers opposite RS Fitness Studios, weโ€™d like to kindly ask visitors to The Old Style House Hairdressers to consider parking on Staffa Drive and walking the short distance where possible.
We understand parking in this area can be difficult, but keeping the space near the bus stop clear helps make things safer for pedestrians, bus users and other road users.

We are also looking into reports of fly-tipping on Charnwood Crescent, with CCTV enquiries being carried out using footage from the pavilion.
As well as this, PCSO Ashton has been over at Town End meeting with our Digital Detectives, rehearsing our assembly on online safety for children.

Thank you to everyone who continues to report concerns and support us and catching up on my rounds ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿš“ Little Visit, Big Smiles! ๐Ÿš“

We had a fantastic moment today meeting 2-year-old Hudson who was absolutely loving his visit from the Tibshelf SNT today !

Hudson was proudly cruising around in his amazing police car ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’™ but couldnโ€™t have been more excited to see us -- future recruit in the making we think!
Love these types of calls so thanks to Mum Hayley who requested it and hope he enjoyed it ๐Ÿ˜Š

See you again Hudson ๐Ÿ‘‹

โ˜€๏ธ Community Safety Reminder โ˜€๏ธ

Itโ€™s great to see everyone enjoying the warm weather ๐ŸŒž

While out on patrol, Iโ€™ve noticed lots of children playing on roads and footpaths. Itโ€™s lovely to see them out having fun, but it can be dangerous with vehicles coming and going.
We know itโ€™s important for children to play close to home, but roads arenโ€™t the safest place.
Iโ€™d really appreciate parents/guardians supporting this message.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please encourage children to use local parks or playing fields where possible.

Thanks for your support, and Iโ€™ll see you all out and about ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿผ

PCSO Ashton will be at Tibshelf Village Hall today from just after 1pm for an informal community catch-up.

Afternoon folks ๐Ÿ‘‹

Just in time for the ever-changing weather, I thought Iโ€™d share a quick post about what this week is all about and help raise awareness of Operation Sceptre.

Derbyshire Constabulary is supporting the national week of action on knife crime as part of Op Sceptre, working alongside partner agencies to keep our communities safe.

Throughout the week, officers will be out across the county delivering school inputs, hosting community events, carrying out knife sweeps, and engaging with young people to raise awareness of the dangers of carrying knives.
Amnesty bins will also be available at locations across Derbyshire for anyone wishing to safely dispose of unwanted knives.

While this work is highly visible, officers will also continue vital behind-the-scenes activity to gather intelligence, target offenders, and prevent incidents before they happen.
If you have information about knife crime, report it via 101, our website, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, always call 999.

These are the topics weโ€™ll be focusing on this week. If youโ€™d like to find out more or have a chat about any of them, come along to our next Community Catch-Up tomorrow at Tibshelf Village Hall from 1pm.
Itโ€™s a great opportunity to ask questions, raise any concerns, and speak with your local officers.

See you there ๐Ÿ‘
