🎉 Congratulations to our newly elected Year 7 Parliament Members! 🎉

A huge well done to all of the students who successfully secured a place as our Year 7 Student Parliament representatives.

The election process involved completing an application and taking part in an interview, demonstrating commitment, confidence and a genuine desire to make a positive difference within our school community.

As the voice of their year group, they will play an important role in sharing student views, contributing ideas and helping to shape the future of Parkside.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who applied and look forward to seeing our new representatives in action throughout the year!

💛 Parkside Says Hello Yellow! 💛

Today, our students and staff came together to celebrate Hello Yellow and raise awareness of the importance of positive mental health.

Throughout the day, students wrote heartfelt positive affirmations to spread kindness and encouragement across our school community. These messages were added to our beautiful Yellow Kindness Tree, creating a powerful visual reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make today such a positive and uplifting occasion.

💛 FUNday Friday | Hello Yellow | Friday 9th October 💛

We're proud to be supporting Hello Yellow and raising awareness of mental health at Parkside Community School.

Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities designed to promote kindness, wellbeing and positive mental health, including mindfulness sessions in the Library, a yellow attendance raffle, Golden Tickets for acts of kindness and yellow rewards in lessons.

Every student will receive a yellow heart sticker as a visible reminder that mental health matters and that support is always available.

🎄🍿 Year 11 Revision Success! 🍿🎄

We can all agree it's never too early to get ready for Christmas... especially when A Christmas Carol is a key English Literature text! 📚✨

A huge well done to our Year 11 students who stayed behind after school to take part in our first revision screening of the year. Their commitment, dedication and determination to succeed are fantastic to see as they continue their GCSE preparation.

Funday Friday Fun! 🎉

What a fantastic way to end the week!

Students were greeted with sweets on arrival before over 100 students took part in the first edition of Bover's Bingo in the canteen during lunch. There were plenty of laughs with some brilliant calling lines, including the crowd favourite: "Number 10, where is my pen?" 🍬✏️

Throughout the day, students also got involved in a range of fitness challenges, showing determination, resilience and plenty of competitive spirit. 💪🏃

We rounded off the day by visiting the Languages, Humanities, Health & Social Care and Computing departments, recognising and rewarding students who have been working hard and demonstrating our school values in their lessons. 🌍💻🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make another Funday Friday such a success. We love seeing so many students getting involved, having fun and celebrating their achievements!
