We’re excited to share our plans to open a Squirrel Drey!
To get us started we're hosting a free open event on Saturday 6th June, 10 to 11am at the Pavilion, Walberton.

This is an opportunity for children aged 4 and 5 years old, parents and carers, and potential volunteers to come and find out more about what Squirrels has to offer, participate in our welcome session and learn more about what’s involved in volunteering.

Want to come and see what it’s all about?
Due to limited spaces, registration in advance is essential!

Murrell’s Field update - 6th May 2026

We are pleased to share that Murrell’s Field has now reopened. We would like to thank residents for their patience during these works.

The Contractors are still on site removing the remainder of the fencing, grass cutting and undertaking field maintenance work.

A field inspection was completed by an independent expert from the Grounds Maintenance Association (GMA) during March. This highlighted that a significant improvement on the pre-works state of the field has been achieved, despite the incredibly wet winter period. A further final handover meeting with the GMA is scheduled this month.

We have produced an updated information document about the works which you can read by clicking the below link. This provides information about the history of the field, what work has been completed and how this work was funded.

We are looking forward to the upcoming summer events hosted by Barnham & Eastergate Community Trust, including May Fair and Music at Murrell’s Field. Follow Barnham Community Hall for more information.
