We are sorry to let families know that, despite best efforts to keep Nursery and our children as cool as possible, we have made the decision to close tomorrow, due to the extreme heat - we simply cannot keep the Nursery cool enough.

We expect to reopen on Friday as usual.

An email will be sent to all families, as we know not everyone uses social media.

We hope all our families manage to find ways to keep themselves and their children cool tomorrow!

Last week we introduced a new area to the garden to encourage relaxing, reading and taking moments being with others to observe the environment around them. The children enjoyed doing exactly this; sharing books together, enjoying each other’s company, taking moments by themselves and role playing first hand experiences (seeing helicopters in the sky and then recreating it for themselves!) 😊

Raffle tickets will be coming home this week with the children, if you need extra tickets to sell to family and friends we have more tickets for sale in the office. There's some fantastic prizes to win and all proceeds go towards much needed resources for our nursery. Good luck everyone!

Our first bunch of strawberries have started to grow and we are so excited!
The children loved helping to pick and wash the strawberries ready to eat, this encouraged lovely conversation about fruit, how to grow them and how they help us grow big and strong! 🍓
We can’t wait to see more strawberries grow and try to grow diffrent fruit and vegetables too!

Another week and another delightful cooking experience! 😋 With a particular focus on weighing using the scales, the children made banana and oat cookies. They also used forks to mash, spoons to mix and hands to roll balls. Cooking experiences are great for fine motor physical skills and developing control when using tools, all of which will contribute to being able to hold a pen or pencil when starting school! 👍
