A heartfelt thank you from Chilton Town Council to everyone who attended Chilton Show today and helped make it such a success!

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all the contractors, suppliers and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and on the day. Your support and contributions are truly appreciated.

Unclaimed raffle prizes are available for collection from Hutton House during opening hours.

It’s nearly time for Chilton Show!

Join us for this annual community event on Sunday 30 August 2026, from 12.00pm to 4.00pm at Charlie Wayman Recreation Ground, Chilton.

There’s something for everyone, including:
Entertainment, including live music from Mamma Said and Brenda Collins
Dance performances
Fairground rides, inflatables and a bronco bull
Sideshows and activities, including blacksmithing, model aircraft, Taekwondo and Bowls
Animal attractions, including alpacas, exotic animals and birds of prey
Dog Show – entries welcome!
Horticultural Show – vegetables, fruit, baking, crafts and more. Entries are still welcome!
Children’s races
Face painting
Food, sweets, ice cream and drinks
Stalls featuring crafts, jewellery, health and wellbeing, tombola, fancy goods, community organisations and more.

And plenty more to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Please note: the road outside the recreation ground will close at 11.00am, so there will be no parking at the event itself.

Chilton Show is one week away!

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s Chilton Show, on Sunday 30th August from 12.00pm to 4.00pm.

There’s a great range of activities on offer: entertainment, dog show, horticultural show, activities including children’s races and taekwondo, food vendors, stalls and fairground rides - and so much more!

There’s still time to get involved - stallholder applications are still welcome, so if you’d like to have a stall, please get in touch.

We’d also be delighted to receive raffle prize donations to help make the day even more exciting.

The Town Council has commissioned a new waste removal service for Chilton Cemetery.

There is a temporary gap in waste provision, but we expect the new service and bins to be in place by the end of next week.

In the meantime, we would kindly ask residents, where possible, to take any waste home for disposal rather than leaving it at the Cemetery.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding while the new arrangements are put in place.

Rushyford Drive Park Reopened

The park is now open again following treatment of the wasps nest.

The always-popular DOG SHOW is back at Chilton Show this year!

Is your dog the prettiest, most handsome or the cutest puppy? Or perhaps your four-legged friend looks most like their owner?

With categories including Fluffiest, Grumpiest Face, Best Child Handler, Waggiest Tail and The Dog the Judge Would Like to Take Home, there are plenty of chances for your dog to win a prize!

There’s also a prize for the Overall Show Champion.

Bring your dog along and let’s see who will be the star of the Show - four legs or two!

Please be aware that a wasps nest has been identified near the play area at Rushyford Drive. The play area is temporarily closed while professional pest control treatment is carried out.

Residents are advised to stay away from the play area until further notice. We will advise when it is safe to reopen.
