Another task that that requires a specialist from another team, this time SSgt C from 530 Specialist Team Royal Engineers (Materials).

Seen here inspecting the Aircraft Operating Surface (runway), checking its construction and assessing the stated rating (for the purposes of our training, it's perfectly fine!). 🛬👷‍♂️

has one of the shortest runways in the Caribbean limiting it's ability to take large military aircraft. In a situation, airports become vital ground and a hub of activity.

Last week, Pte M-B of 3 Medical Regiment took members of 528 STRE Power and Royal Montserrat Defence Force through the basics of dealing with casualties at the Montserrat Disaster Management Coordination Agency-DMCA HQ building.

This week on and after a little revision, we were dealing with scenarios involving multiple casualties and some very dedicate role-playing. Good to see everybody applying so well what they learnt last week. 👨‍⚕️🚑🩺

Great training and another enjoyable evening with the RMDF.

Our activity on has been facilitated by the friendly cooperation of everybody we have had the pleasure of working with. In fact, everybody we have met has been incredibly welcoming!

Those such as Jordan, a senior linesman from Utilities Limited (MUL), have dedicated their time to helping us complete our tasks.

This particular task has involved the team trialling a variety of methods to rapidly capture the Island's HV and LV distribution network. In both the situations for which we are training and in normal operation, this asset data makes maintenance and the reporting and fixing of faults easier and more efficient.

With the final round of task orders issued last week, is sadly drawing to a close.

Here, SSgt G (a Clerk of Works Mechanical from 516 STRE) takes on 's sewerage system, testing our ability to rapidly map systems and collate data using a variety of techniques. SSgt G was also joined by a member of the Royal Montserrat Defence Force to assist with the task and gain an insight into how we operate.
