The Together Alliance, the coalition of campaigns, trade unions and celebrities that is pushing back against racism and the far right. There is a huge demonstration in London on Saturday 28th March. South West Lancashire NEU is organising a coach to the demonstration from Chorley.

Leaves London at 5pm, expected to arrive back at 10.30pm (traffic dependent).

Cost: Free for NEU members and family. For others tickets are £10 waged; £5 unwaged, £20 solidarity. There are a small amount of free seats for those that need them.

Chorley for Palestine are thrilled to announce Cllr. Craige Southern’s donation of £250 to Medical Aid for Palestine.

Following an attack on a member of this campaign in Chorley Borough Council chambers, Cllr. Craige Southern was convicted of Assault by beating on Wednesday 25th March 2025.

In what we can only assume was a premature evaluation, Cllr Craige Southern attempted to delay justice by instigating an appeal he was never going to win; his solicitor first claimed he was otherwise engaged on the first appeal date (2 working hours before the day); then they completely abandoned the appeal the day before the second date; Cllr Craige Southern remains convicted of Assault by beating.

On conviction, Cllr Craige Southern was ordered to compensate the victim by paying £250. This has been forwarded on to Medical Aid for Palestine on his behalf. This campaign group has covered the transaction fees to ensure every single penny of Cllr. Craige Southern’s money has gone to Gaza.

Inshallah this small token will ease starvation, oppression and assist with shelter, especially during this time of Ramadan.
