16th July 2026 the Lancashire Team issued this document

Subject to Parliamentary approval, the 15 existing Lancashire councils – the County Council, two existing unitary councils and 12 district councils – will be abolished and replaced. Strong collaboration is already in place across these councils, and we will work together to plan and deliver the transition to the new arrangements, the establishment of the new councils and future service delivery.

The Millennium Green is looking splendid in the sunshine. The light, natural area, pond and flowers all looking great. Caution with dog walkers with dogs that love the water, try to prevent them in as there is currently family of Moorhens - Mum, Dad and 5 chicks on the water.
