Last night and today crews from Winscombe Fire Station and multiple other stations around the service area attended a large fire at a property on Stock Lane, Langford.

Crews tackled the fire using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, 45mm jets and a turntable ladder.

The fire is now out and all surrounding roads are open.

Thanks to Blagdon Firefighters for hosting us this evening at St Andrews Church, Blagdon. We carried out ladder pitches using both the 13.5 metre and 10.5 metre ladders, hauling equipment aloft in mixed teams to the church roof.

Yesterday evening and early hours of this morning were busy for us.

Crews attended a fire effecting a skip, fence and car in Winscombe which was extinguished using a high pressure hose reel and breathing apparatus.

Crews then attended a serious RTC in Weston involving two vehicles.

On returning to home station from the RTC crews were then sent to alarms in Weston-Super-Mare.

Saturday 7th June we are fund raising for Cancer Research UK at Winscombe Fire Station from 10:00 till 13:00. 🚒

We also have Memory Lane Ice Cream with us until 12:00. 🍦
