🌟 A very proud Headteacher moment… 🌟

Today, I am incredibly proud to celebrate our wonderful Year 6 children, with every child achieving the expected standard across the board in their SATs.

As Headteacher of Ennerdale, this is a moment that means an enormous amount to me.

These children have been such an important part of my journey as Headteacher. I have had the privilege of watching them grow, develop, overcome challenges and become the wonderful young people they are today. To see them achieve this together makes me incredibly proud.

But these results represent so much more than a set of scores. They represent hard work, perseverance, resilience and determination. They represent the moments when things were difficult, the times when they doubted themselves, and the occasions when they chose to keep going.

Every child. Expected standard. Across the board… That is a remarkable achievement.

But what makes me proudest is not simply the result. It is the children behind it; their kindness, their courage, their individuality, their humour and the way they have supported one another throughout their journey.

To our Year 6 children: I hope you understand just how proud you should be of yourselves. You have worked incredibly hard, and you have shown exactly what you are capable of.

As you prepare to leave Ennerdale and begin your next adventure, I want you to know that you will always hold a special place in my heart. I feel incredibly lucky to have been your Headteacher and to have played a small part in your journey.

Well done, Year 6. You have made us all so incredibly proud.

What a way to leave Ennerdale.

There’s No Place Like Home… Except Maybe Ennerdale Today! 🌈

What a magical day!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to watch our performances of The Wizard of Oz. Having such a wonderful audience made all the difference, and the children absolutely loved performing for you.

From Munchkins to monkeys, yellow bricks to emerald dreams, our children threw themselves into every moment with confidence, enthusiasm and huge smiles. We couldn’t be prouder of what they achieved.

A special thank you goes to our incredible staff, who somehow managed to transform our school into the Land of Oz. Their creativity, patience and hard work behind the scenes made today’s performances possible.

People often ask me why I do this job. My answer is always the same: the children are my “why.” Days like today remind me exactly why. Watching them grow in confidence, support one another, overcome their nerves and shine on stage is an absolute privilege, and I hope you felt just as proud watching them as we did.

Finally, thank you for supporting your children every step of the way, whether that meant helping to learn lines, hunting down costume pieces or simply giving them the confidence to step onto the stage.

We hope you left with a smile on your face and perhaps a song or two still stuck in your head!

After all… there really is no place like Ennerdale.

As we wrap up our final Forest School session of the school year, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for every muddy boot, curious question, campfire moment, and smile we’ve shared along the way. 🌿✨

Watching the children grow in confidence, resilience, teamwork, and their love for the outdoors has been such a privilege. Every session has been filled with adventure, discovery, creativity, and memories that will last far beyond the woodland.

A huge thank you to all the children for their enthusiasm and the families for embracing the Forest School journey. It’s been an amazing year, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we’ve achieved together.

Wishing everyone a wonderful summer filled with outdoor adventures. I can’t wait to see what next year brings! 🌳💚

Today, we had a lovely whole school trip to Conishead Priory in Ulverston to the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre. We had a wonderful day and learned so much about Buddhism and mediation. It was just a beautiful, calming and reflective day - perfect 👌

Yesterday, we decided to make the most of the sunny weather and warm temperatures by taking a walk to The Gather at playtime for an ice cream! 🍦☀️

What better way is there to cool down on a warm day? It was a lovely treat, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed spending time together in the sunshine.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at The Gather for giving us such a warm welcome and serving everyone with a smile.
