Green Explorers is a Woodland Play Group based in our woodland site at Whitechapel Primary School in Cleckheaton. The aim is to create a safe woodland space where families can explore and play, benefiting from being outdoors and having fun together. It is a welcoming non-judgemental space where parents and carers can support each other and make connections. The group is primarily aimed for prescho

ol aged children, but during holidays and weekends children up to the age of 11 are welcome too. Preschool Woodland Playgroup, up to 5 years, term-time;

🐾 Family Saturday's Woodland Playgroup, up to 11 years, 10am-12pm. Here's what to expect at Green Explorers;
🌳 A private woodland space which has been developed as a safe and welcoming space for families.
☕ Hot drinks for everyone (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) plus toasted marshmallows and biscuits around the campfire.
🐌 A wide range of play activities available throughout including; mud kitchen, digging zone, construction role play, minibeast hunting, exploration, swings and hammock.
🖌️ A different craft each week, usually linked to the seasons.
🌞 Seasonal activities and resources appear as the seasons change. Birthday party and group bookings available;

Birthday Parties 🎉
Celebrate in style in our own woods based in Cleckheaton! Have sole use of the space for your child’s birthday party which includes; hotdogs, toasted marshmallows, popcorn and hot chocolate around the fire for all children, hot drinks for all adults, free play activities, a craft of choice and personalised sustainable craft goody bag from Scraptastic for all children to take home. Parties can be themed with an activity or craft, themes could be; dinosaurs, fairies, pirates, the hungry caterpillar, stickman etc... If you have an idea, we'll do our best to accommodate it. Cost: £165 for up to 15 children, £8.50 per additional child up to 20 children. Green Explorers Group Bookings 🌷
We offer group bookings in the woods. Have sole use of our woods in Cleckheaton for your group which includes; toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate around the fire for all children, hot drinks for all adults, free play activities such as mud kitchen, construction zone, minibeast hunting and den building and a themed craft activity. Group bookings are suitable for any groups of children who will attend with adults who take responsibility for their care throughout. Such as; individuals who wish to make a booking together, a group of childminders, existing groups such as guiding and scouting, support groups, nurseries and out of school clubs. It's a chilled way to celebrate Father's day but you don't have to bring dad's or buy a bacon butty, you can just come for a normal play if you prefer 👍

I'm on the lookout for flat pallets like the picture, I think they are called pallet racking.
I only need 2, if you know where I could get some, please let me know.
I'll be using them to make some gates, if anyone has any unwanted gates knocking about they will be put to good use.
I can collect locally.

Summer Forest School
Running on Wednesday afternoons aimed towards children 5 and older. We enjoy our usual play as well as some more challenging crafts, using tools, learning more about fire lighting or trying more campfire cooking.

Join the teddy bears and bring your own teddy bear along to the woods for a play and picnic.
Bring along your own picnic and blanket to enjoy during the session.
