A wonderful start to the week… As part of our first Flourishing Day of the school year we all walked up to the Orchard. We made dens to hide in, dens for animals and fairies, found worms, threw mud, Alfred made a catapult and there was much fun in the mud! It was fantastic to see all the children working, playing and collaborating together. Mrs Booth did a brilliant job guiding the children with the den kits and thank you also to our governor, Mrs Orwin for purchasing the brilliant den kits 😍

A huge thank you to Tom Carlisle, aka the Dalesfarmer, for sending a video show casing life on the farm during the many seasons. The children loved learning about the livestock you have and the many jobs throughout the year.

Did you know Bolton by Bowland school is part of the NFU farming for schools partnership? Last year we welcomed Mr Alpe a farmer from Dunsop Bridge and NFU schools representative, Nichola Gill from The Milking Parlour, Sabden and some tractors from Horner Shearing. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.
