Do you recognise the man in this image?

We appreciate this image isn’t good quality, but as it’s all we have to share with you, we hope someone might potentially recognise the man by his clothing.

We would like to speak to this man in connection with our investigation into an exposure.

At around 8:30pm on Sunday 11th October a man was reported to have exposed himself to a woman and then committed a s*x act on himself on Knuck Knowles Drive, Clitheroe.

Whilst an investigation is underway and we’ve been making enquiries since it was reported to us, we are now in a position to ask for your help.

If you recognise this man, witnessed this incident, or have any information that could help us with our enquiries, please contact 101 quoting log 1369 of 11th October.

Last night the team spent some time around the Lincoln way/ Deanfield area due to recent reports around careless & inconsiderate driving.

Officers attention were immediately drawn to a VW AMAROK that was practising its skills for the F1 Sprint race this weekend. This vehicle took 1st place on our Recovery-truck podium and was seized under S.59 Police Reform Act.

Whilst the VW was safely strapped onto the podium, another 2 vehicles drove erratically past officers and were also stopped & awarded S.59 warning notices.

A later visit to Lincoln Way and officers spotted a Nissan Leaf parked up and upon sighting police, the driver decided not to stick around and failed to stop. We have been out searching for the vehicle today and as pictured below, the vehicle has been seized with further enquiries ongoing to identify the driver.

Road safety is a priority of ours and careless & inconsiderate driving will not be tolerated. Please continue to report any incidents.

Do you know the legislation around the use of fireworks?

We are working proactively with our partners to tackle the misuse of fireworks in the Ribble Valley and want to remind you of the rules.

You cannot buy 'adult' fireworks (Category 2 and 3) if you’re under the age of 18, and it is against the law to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am, except on certain occasions (Bonfire Night, New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year).

You cannot set off or throw fireworks – including sparklers – in the street or other public spaces.

You can be fined an unlimited amount and imprisoned for up to six months for selling or using fireworks illegally. You could also get an on-the-spot fine of £90.

We know it can be frustrating and distressing when fireworks are set off. If an emergency is ongoing, please call 999. You can also report any incidents to 101 or online, and if you would like to report anonymously you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

What a lovely sunny afternoon not in a town called malice but one called Clitheroe for the Mod weekend. Great to see that the kids are alright as they enjoyed themselves watching the scooters ride through this strange town. The atmosphere is one of fun and hopefully this will continue all day and all of the night or you better you bet we'll be asking who are you. 🛵

We’ve been at Longridge High School with the Message Trust today to share our ‘No More Knives’ tour with pupils.

It equips young people with the skills and knowledge they need to say no to knives, and shows them the consequences knives can have, through music, powerful stories, and lived experience.

It went down really well with both the pupils and staff, and will help our young people make positive choices 👏

Neighbourhood officers at Longridge will be back at a drop-in session this month. This will be held on Thursday 24th September 2026 from 10am until 11am, at The Civic Hall, Longridge. These are for any advice on local issues or to provide us with information.

As before, there is no appointment needed, but we just ask you be patient to be seen if there are a few people waiting. This will coincide with Market Day at The Civic, with their available refreshments, as well as local produce stalls. If you can't make it, we are still available to be contacted directly.

We know the misuse of fireworks is an issue for our residents, especially in the run up to Halloween and Bonfire Night.

We’re working proactively with our partners to tackle this – and we need your help.

If you see or hear fireworks being set off, please report this to us – in as much detail as possible, including sharing names of offenders, street names (and house numbers if possible), and any video footage. If you film any incidents, please make sure you’re protected, as your safety is paramount.

If you know any shops that are selling fireworks illegally, please do let us know.

Hi everyone! 👋

I wanted to quickly introduce myself - I’m Phil Brown, the new Chief Inspector for Neighbourhood Policing, covering Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale and the Ribble Valley.

I recently joined Lancashire Constabulary after starting my career in Greater Manchester Police back in 2006, where I gained experience in roles across Response and Neighbourhood Policing.

I’m delighted to start my new role in the East of Lancashire, as I’m passionate about Neighbourhood Policing, having spent a considerable part of my career in Neighbourhood roles. I’m particularly excited to lead on the ‘Clear Hold Build’ project, the Prosper Partnership, in Nelson.
