LATEST UPDATE we eventually was able to speak with ALDI who advised that the incident had been reported to them at the time by the driver. We now have all the driver insurance details so will be able to claim for the full cost of reinstatement.

UPDATE we have now identified the vehicle and have the reg plate...Derbyshire Police will be advised and our insurers...

Thank you to the delivery lorry that appears to have reversed into the protective railings around our war memorial and then drove off!

The police have been notified and if any local shop owner has cctv overlooking the area or a member of the public with dash cam has captured the vehicle then we would be grateful for a copy.

Of course we will also be checking our cctv and speaking with the shops overlooking the site....most likely Aldi delivery....some people!

Councillor Christine Hiney-Saunders is pictured with Chair of Clowne Parish Council, Councillor Duncan Haywood, saying a few words to mark the formal opening of the Wheels Park on Clune Street Recreation Ground...her husband and fellow Councillor, Rob Hiney-Saunders, who campaigned for the state of the art facility, watched on via Live stream from his hospital bed.

Christine during her speech to mark the opening said' it was very pleasing to see so many young people participating in a positive activity....the Wheels Park has been designed for skateboarders, bike riders, scooters and roller bladers'.

Our thanks also go to Wheelscape who designed and built the Park and to Bolsover District Council for allowing us to build the facility on their Recreation Ground.

We would like to thank Tom Oldknow from Stanfree farm for taking our train.

It had been removed as it had deteriorated to a point were it couldn't be safely used by kids but was ok for kids!!

Great outcome a forever home for the goats!!
