The Council has been made aware of individuals posing as licensing officers in an attempt to collect alleged licensing fee debts from licensed premises.

We want to reassure all businesses that the Council will always issue a formal invoice directly to the premises for any licensing payment due, and all payments must only be made using the official payment details printed on the back of that invoice.

June Market Cancelled ❌

Due to the forecasted gusts of 30mph on Saturday we have unfortunately had to take the disappointing decision to cancel the artisan market.

We are unable to operate due to our insurance cover in wind gusts in excess of 28mph. This is to protect both stall holders and their stock along with the general public.

Our apologies once again, we will see you all in July!

The crew are absolutely gutted, the weather has beaten us again! See you all next week! 🤞suns back out next week😉

Pubs and bars will be able to open later during the men's football world cup thanks to an extension to licensing hours.

The Government has made an Order under the Licensing Act 2003 which extends licensing hours for licenced premises in England and Wales during specific FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026 matches.

The extension applies only where England or Scotland are playing in a qualifying knock-out match and only to premises that already hold a premises licence or club premises certificate permitting the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises until at least 11pm on the day of the match. Existing licence conditions still apply.

Our Engagement Hub on Cotton Street Bolsover will be closing for a month to allow for a refresh.

It will open again on Saturday 4 July when you will be able to pop in and air your views on Bolsover's regeneration projects.

If you want to jump in before it closes, it will be open on Saturday 6 June.

We’re feeling really thankful for the fantastic visits, ideas and conversations we’ve had with you all so far - your energy has shaped the Engagement Hub in the best way.

A little update on our schedule:
• The Hub will be closed this Thursday
• We’ll be open on Saturday 6th June for the Artisan Market
• Then we’ll be closed until Saturday 4th July, when we’ll reopen with a refreshed display and a brand‑new programme of drop‑ins and discussions

We’re excited to share what’s coming next and look forward to seeing you again soon!
