🚔 Bardon Beat Team – Weekly Priorities Update 🚔
Here's an update on the work we've been carrying out in response to the policing priorities identified by our communities.
🚗 Speeding
Speed enforcement operations are planned across the Bardon Beat area over the coming weeks to help improve road safety and deter speeding.
⚠️ A reminder to drivers:
✅ Stick to the speed limit.
✅ Drive to the road and weather conditions.
✅ Allow plenty of time for your journey.
✅ Take extra care around schools, residential areas and busy pedestrian routes.
✅ Remember that speed limits are maximum limits, not targets.
Speeding puts lives at risk and can result in fines, penalty points, disqualification from driving and increased insurance costs.
If you have concerns about speeding in your area, please let us know. Information from local residents helps us identify problem locations and target future enforcement activity.
Together, we can make our roads safer for everyone.
🚛 HGVs Breaching Weight Limits – Ellistown, Ibstock & Heather
Neighbourhood officers have been carrying out HGV patrols following concerns raised by residents and to support ongoing crime prevention work.
✅ Patrols were completed in Ellistown and Ibstock with no issues identified.
✅ Officers monitored HGV activity linked to local industrial sites, including the Davidson site and Ibstock Brick.
✅ A patrol was also conducted around ASDA Ellistown, with no HGVs seen passing through the area.
We will continue to carry out patrols and engage with local businesses to help ensure HGV traffic is using appropriate routes and to address concerns raised by residents.

🏍️ Anti-Social Behaviour – Agar Nook & Greenhill
Officers have been carrying out regular patrols in Agar Nook, Thringstone and Whitwick following community concerns and ongoing intelligence gathering.
During recent patrols, officers:
✅ Conducted high-visibility patrols across the area, including Twyford Close, Stretton Drive and Stamford Drive.
✅ Submitted intelligence relating to vehicles of interest.
✅ Monitored locations linked to known individuals.
✅ Engaged with young people in the area, with no significant issues identified.
✅ Off road bike seized for causing anti-social behaviour on Ibstock skate park.
We continue to receive reports relating to nuisance motorcycles, e-scooters and anti-social behaviour. Patrols will continue and any intelligence received will be acted upon.
