🌱 LEND A HAND 🌱
Helping to keep the Swannington Incline site looking its best
Sunday 14th June • 9:30am • Spring Lane Entrance.

This is a quick reminder that our next Lend a Hand session is taking place this coming Sunday. We plan to tackle a number of jobs at our Incline site, including weeding around the buildings, strimming the paths, and generally tidying up the site.

We will meet at the Spring Lane entrance at 9:30am.

Please let me know if you plan to attend so that we can make sure we have enough equipment, jobs, and biscuits for everyone!

🌟Volunteers' Week!🌟

Our Garden Volunteers are a dedicated and knowledgeable team who research, develop and maintain the fantastic 17th century gardens we have on site. They always go above and beyond to keep the site looking at its best and their skills extend far beyond gardening. This year the gardeners have worked hard to improve the composting facilities on site which improves our green credentials and helps manage the waste we produce in the garden and tea room.

Join our lend a hand session this Sunday from 9.30 at our Hough Mill site and woodland.

We need your help with lots of jobs in our children’s woodland. Can you help clear weeds or spread stone? Can you sand down our sand box ready for painting? There are lots of jobs to suit everyone!

Needing your help social media! Hoping someone may recognise this beautiful jug? We have been contacted by a lady hoping you find out more about this jug and the Kirby family connection. We have a James Kirby born in 1826 who married Elizabeth King in Whitwick on March 4th 1852 and died 1899. Could this be his? Can anyone add any more information please?

The Gorse Field and Califat are rewarding our volunteers and visitors with lots of beautiful flowers at the moment. Hough Mill, Swannington open on Sunday 2pm to 5pm.
