We are sad to have to inform our community, that the Community Agent service in Coedpoeth will be withdrawn from 31st July 2026.

This is due to the funding provided by WCBC being withdrawn, and not through any decision or choice of the community council.
Our understanding is that services previously provided through the Community Agent scheme, will be made available via other services to be provided by WCBC, although we have not yet been informed of any changes by WCBC.

Over the last 12 months, the service in Coedpoeth has been provided by the Rainbow Centre Penley, and we are grateful to them and Claire Partridge, covering Coedpoeth and other areas, for their professional and caring support to our residents.

Once we are made aware of how residents can access similar services in the future, we will post details, and in the mean time, please contact us and we will try to point you in the right direction and offer as much support as we are able to.

Yesterday we welcomed the Ride Cymru team home on the last leg of their epic Round Wales adventure, raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
The team had been on the road since last Thursday, and have battled on despite the unbelievable temperatures - I believe there may have been a couple of ice creams and possibly a few beers on the way!
These guys completely self fund this trip, with one fella coming from the USA to join and also raise much needed funds for a good cause, meaning every penny goes into the organisation, helping thousands of people across the UK.

Although the road trip has now finished, if you would like to make a donation to this amazing cause, you can still do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/wales2026?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

Every donation helps so please support the team if you can - over the last 10 years, they have raised a total of over £300,000 for charity! That's epic!!
